It was another drunken night at Fairy Tail. Cana, after her third barrel of ale, had asked a few other members to a new game she made up. It was called Cuffed. She had made it up a few years ago, but was never able to play it because she had passed out from all the booze and forgot about it until now.
Lucy didn't know much about this strange game Cana was rambling on about, but she was quite interested in the name. "So Cana, how are we supposed to play this game?" she asked sitting down beside her. "Well first i will hand you three cards with the name of a guy in the guild on each one, then the game will begin and won't end until nine days from now." "Wow that is a long time for a game to last, but i guess i will just go along with it."
Cana held out a stack of cards, Lucy chose one from the top, the bottom, and the middle just to keep it at random. Lucy held the cards up in front of her face looking at the names she had chosen. She gasped and shook her head.
"Oh no!" she said hitting her head on the bar. "Who'd you get?!" Cana asked excitedly. "I got Natsu, Gray, and Loke." Cana burst out laughing hysterically. Lucy blushed and stuttered as she said, "Shh! I don't want everyone to know." "Everyone will know sooner or later."
"What do you mean?" Lucy seemed a bit scared when Cana said that. "Well, first let me explain the game to the guys then i will explain your part when i'm done telling them."
Cana got up from the bar and yelled, "Natsu, Gray, Loke! Get your asses over here... Now!" The guys walked over, not knowing what the drunk wanted.
Cana sat down at a table, with the guys huddled around her as she spoke in a whisper. Every once in a while the guys would look up from her to look at Lucy, sometimes giving a smirk and a small chuckle.
'What did i get myself into?' Lucy thought to herself as she placed her chin in her hands and rubbed away a head ache. Suddenly, Cana and the boys came back over to the bar making Lucy worry even more.
"Alright Lucy it's time i explain the rules to you." Lucy sat at attention and awaited the instructions. "Lucy please choose one of these idiots for the first part of the game. Then i will give you your task."
Lucy looked up at the guys and blushed slightly, hoping the first guys she chose wouldn't make the other two jealous or hurt. She pointed at Natsu just to be on the safe side, that if it was a physical task he would be perfect for it.
Natsu grinned brightly and giggled, "Looks like you two will have to wait." The other two guys frowned and walked away whispering to each other as they groaned about not being picked first.
"Okay Lucy, now that you picked a partner for the first part of the game, let me tell you the rules. You and your partner will be hand-cuffed together for the next three days. In this time period you and said partner will be free to do whatever you wish together, but if your hand-cuffs are removed then you lose. And it will be impossible to separate because i will have the key"
"What kind of game is that!" Lucy yelled, her voice cracking and her cheeks a bright red. "There is no way i'm doing that!" "Come on Lucy don't be a baby!" Cana said smirking. Lucy was fuming now, but her competitiveness had kicked in.
"You're on Cana, I bet i can get all three guys without being seperated!" Cana smirked and laughed lightly. "Alright Lucy, you got yourself a deal. Let the games begin."
