The runaways

Henry's POV

We were currently sat in Mal and Evie's dorm room while Evie was fitting Mal for her dress to the cotillion.

Mal was standing on a podium in the middle of the room whilst I was sat on  Mal's bed watching the TV behind them.

"Okay E I cannot breath" Mal said gasping for air as Evie tightens her dress.

"You can breath after cotillion" she replied.

"Yeah I'm not sure I can I have like 10 more things after Cotillion and I have no idea what any of them are" Mal said stressed out.

Then, while she was watching the tv, she gasped as if she remembered something.

She ran over to me pushing my feet off her bed and grabbing her spell book, which I'm sure she donated to the museum after the coronation.

"Read it fast at lightning speed, remember everything I need" she resited.

Me and Evie looked at each other before turned to me with a disapproving look.

"I know Mals secret to fitting in and Ben won't like it one bit" Evie said to her.

"Yeah haven't you two had enough secrets between you already?" I asked her.

"Henry, Evie you know what I was like before I started using my spell book, I was a mess."

She signed before looking at her jacket that was hung up near the door.

"Don't you two ever miss breaking the rules?" She asked us and to be honest I kinda did, I mean it's been my home for the last 17 years.

"Like the lying, stealing and fighting?" Evie asked.

"Yeah"

"No" "kinda" Evie says as I mumbled beside her so she wouldn't hear me I didn't want to upset her.

"Mal look at where we are, we are in Auradon, we're Auradon people now" she said. " And look at these shoes"

"Killer" Mal said in a sad tone before going to the bathroom to change into some different clothes.

---------the next day----------

We  were all walking trying to get to class I was at the back on my own, Mal and Evie in the middle, and jay and Carlos at the front.

I didn't hear what they were saying, but what did catch my attention was when Jane came up to Mal with her tablet in hand rushing, bugging her with things for cotillion.

When I saw Mals eyes turn green that's when I stepped in.

" Ok I think that's enough for today Jane.

She nodded at me that's when Lonnie came over.

"I have a dress fitting at 3 who wants it" Evie said popping up out of no where scaring the life out of me.

"Me" Lonnie quickly said saying sorry to Jane.

"I can not wait to see what your wedding looked like" Lonnie said

"Yeah me either- wait what." She shouted.

"Yeah a cotillion is like getting engaged, to be engaged, to be engaged "
" Knew it" Evie said

I was slightly smiling at her.

"I didn't know that is my whole life just planned out in front of me" she rambled.

Ben walked behind her and put his arm around her.

"Hi Ben" all the girls said whilst Mal  just glared at them.
