I just about screamed my head off when I awoke. I had absolutely no idea where I was.  The place I’m in feels familiar to me, yet distant, as though from a long ago dream. I stand up, steadying myself with a tree.

I was in a forest clearing.  I remain silent as I walk around.  The place was beautiful, with sun rays flowing through the gaps in the trees and leaves lighting up the world around me.  I begin to pace back and forth thinking about how I will be able to get back home.  I eventual sit down to rest.  I have a drink of water along with a few bland crackers.

I notice my book is missing,  okay not good I thought.  I gather everything up into my bag and venture out of the woods.  All I see is  green rolling hills leading up into mountains.  I trace my steps back into the clearing. Deciding to camp here for the night, I gather long, soft grass and lay it into a bed, with a larger clump acting as my pillow.  As I drift to sleep I have a nightmare.

A young girl with glittering blonde hair, sapphire blue eyes and a slim body  is on the ground crying.  She looks elegant and fragile, as though one touch could break her.  I want to help her, but as I take an interest in myself, I realize I’m not human, it is as if I'm the wind, when its just my soul.

Suddenly a boy comes in.  He has light brown hair, with hazel eyes.  He looks to be about sixteen.  With broad shoulders and a masculine body, he goes up to the girl and wraps his arms around her. The crying eventually comes to a halt.  As their eyes meet, the boy says, “Destiny, It’s okay, I’ll be here for you.

Destiny sniffles and plants  a kiss on his cheek.  As the boy blushes, Destiny whispers “I know” and gently allows their lips to meet.  I see her body relax at the boy embraces her.

I avert my eyes away from them, giving them some privacy, though I don’t think they know I’m there.  In the distance I see the trees rustling.  I try to warn them, but no sound comes out.  All I could feel was the air passing through my vocal chords.

I survey the area of trees that had moved.  Moments pass when I finally get a glimpse of what made the trees rustle.

What I saw was erratic.  There is bright rainbow colored feathers and fur surrounding three beady eyes and a beak. I was thankful I saw only the head and nothing else.

I want to warn them.  I take a risk and look at them, of course they are still smooching away like there could be no other time for this.  I groaned to myself.  Finally, the creature makes a noise.

Before anything else happens my dream changes.

This time I have my own body.  I tried to see if I could talk, I faintly call out “hello,” I could hear my voice echoing throughout the place I was in.

I intently observe the room.  I’m in a tenebrus cave.  The stalactites hang down from the ceiling.  Some  shine with the gleam of crystals, others as dull as a piece of powdery gravel.

I carefully walk around the towering stalagmites.  The place is misty, damp, and a bit  cold.  There doesn't seem to be any light, though I seem to be able to see everything around me, then again it’s just a dream.

As I walk around I see the silhouette of a parson.  I follow it with my eyes to see if it moves.  Of course, it doesn’t.

I begin to wander around, trying to find a way to escape this place, my dream.

The only possible way to leave that I can see is  the part of the cave I’m in, lengthening from North to south, or it is East to West?  I’m not only trapped in my dream, but my thoughts too.

Should I continue on ahead of me or turn back?  Why can’t I figure this out?

I begin to panic, I’m trapped and I can’t escape.  I’m going to die here. As I let out a sob, I hear a loud, scratchy, female voice.

“Angel, I know who you are, even better than you know yourself.  Every single wish and dream of yours.  Along with your fears. I know that you want to be a normal girl.  But you can’t because you're a detector.

At the word ‘detector’ I scream “How do you know that, who are you, where are you?”

I hear faint laughter.  “Silly girl, why ask questions you already know the answers to?  But, for the last one, I'm everywhere.”

I clamp my hands over my eyes.  I feel ice cold hands clutch my throat.
