"you ready, george?"

"yeah mate."

[record]

"right, you lot, welcome back to the second channel. of course i'm joined by george."

"hello."

"today we'll be going through the r/oddlysatisfying subreddit again because i am, as you lot have though, out of ideas."

-

george: was today's video alright (not considering you're out of ideas 😳)

will: yeah mate it was fine, just not excited to bust my ass editing

george: well i'll leave you to it then

george sighed and put his phone down, feeling ignored, and upset he didn't get another text. whatver. he pushed it away.

-

george hadn't heard from will in two days, which was a lot for him. he reached out to alex, who said he had been acting normal around him. interesting. he pushed it away.

-

george hadn't heard from will in six days. he wasn't worried, because he talked to james, who apparently had just been over to record a video for the second channel. odd he didn't ask me, george though. maybe he just didn't want to do too many videos in a row with me. he pushed it away.

-

three weeks later, still no will. luckily there was a party coming up in london, that will was supposed to be invited to. george was excited for the party, and even more excited at the hope of seeing his mate.

-

the night of the party came. when his smart ride arrived to the beautiful multi million pound top floor flat, he and alex got out, both excited.

"alex do you reckon will'll be here?" george asked, trying to be inconspicuous.

"oh yeah, he told me yesterday he's mad hype to get drunk as shit." alex replied, just as inconspicuous as george.

as george and alex left the elevator and found the party, george began searching for the person he wanted to see more than anything - will.

after a few quick scans of the room, he found will, sitting with steven on his left, and mia on his right, talking to josh from the sidemen. they all had drinks in their hands. george was suprised to see josh here and didn't think it was a party of "that caliber". george wondered what the hell he could be talking to josh about.

he grabbed alex's hand and rushed them to the bar, grabbing drinks, and then made their way to the group standing in the corner.

alex immediately said hi to all of them. "hey you guys, how's the party so far?"

george tuned the conversation out and focused on will watching alex, seemingly being careful to not make eye contact with george.

george piped up, to will, "hey, uh, mate will you come here for a quick second?"

will gave him a weird look, and stood up and wobbled quite a bit, clearly more drunk than george had though before. "sure, sure, 'm on my way."

when george got nearer to him, he said "it's loud here, why don't we go outside?"

will agreed, and outside they went.

george led him outside the apartment, and once george heard the door click closed he sighed. "why have you been avoiding me? i thought you and i were good mates."

will looked at him and sat down on the floor, near the door. "it's hard to explain. i just though if i could take myself out of this situation it would fix everything."

george furrowed his brows. "what situation? what would it fix? just tell me will, i don't want any games, i just want to know why. did i do something? do you not like me anymore?"

will took a long drink of his beer. "george it's so much more complicated than you think. i just... i can't do this." will looked down.

george was still confused. "will i don't understand at all but i know i'm here for you, and i hope you realize you can tell me anything because that's what friends are for."

will looked up at george, his eyes glassy, his voice quiet. "i just... well i don't know any other way to say this but i wanted to avoid you because of the way you make me feel."

george, while taken aback by this, was nevertheless intrigued. he said softly, "how do i make you feel?"

will looked him in the eyes. "like i see something more than a friend in you. and it's dangerous. and i didn't know what to do."

george sighed and put his arms around him. "will, i'm really glad you told me this."

will exhaled into george's arms, and george held him tighter. will said nothing.
