Sighting of a Star: A Kirby Fanfiction

Chapter 1

I woke up this morning, the sun was pouring though my window, the light blinded my eyes, it took me a few second to realize that I was still in my bed room. I lived and worked at Castel Dedede, for King Dedede, the despicable dictator, it seemed like an eternity since I’d come here. Ie was long ago, I found myself alone on a distant planet not to fare from Dream Land. I was all alone when I was struck by a star, a meteor shower but with stars that glimmers in the distant light of the moon. My parents had been killed by a monster when I was only five.

“Mama, Dada where are you”, I screamed.

I was answered by the silence and the roar of a flame, was their no one left, was I the only one, no, it couldn’t be, I fell to my knees and stated to cry, I was a little burned and had a few scares but I would live, just then I saw a shadow in the fire,

“Mama?” I said.  

The shadow was not my mother, but a beast one thousand times bigger than me, I screamed even louder than I had before, it echoed through the barren waste land of fire, another shadow appeared, this one was more of a boy no a man. He swooped in front of me and pulled out a sword of lightning and fire and with a few clean slices the beast was gone, then he turned to me.

“Child, what are you doing out here by yourself, where is your family”, he said.

 He had a mask of metal on and underneath was black, and a set of yellow eyes. I just shook my head. I whipped the tears of my face.

“No family, there is no time to search, have you ever flown in a star ship”,  the man asked.

“No, um, I don’t think so”, I said.

“Come with me, we need to get out of hear before the planet is destroyed” , he said.

He gave me a hand and pulled me up, before long we were racing through the embers and the flames, we came to a sliver ship in the shape of a star, he put me in the back seat then he hopped in front, as we sped away from my planet, all I saw was fire, it could have easily been mistaken for another sun.

“Tell me girl what is your name?” He asked.

“Nora, my name is Nora”, I said.

“That’s a nice name” he said.

He turned around, his look softened up, but I could not tell if he was smiling or not. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up on a bed and there was girl sitting on a stole next to the bed. She had long yellow hair and a pink dress, about my age, and there was a baby the flour next to her. I stretched out my arms and she looked at me.

“Oh I’m sorry, did my brother wake you up?” she asked “Tuff quiet down”.

The baby looked up and stared at me, and then a man and women came running into the room.  

“Oh thank heavens she’s all right”, the man said.

“Can I get you anything to dink dear”, the women asked looking concerned.  

“No thank you,” I said “But can I ask where I am?”.

“You’re in Dream Land”, the girl said with a smile
