Note: I am so sorry it took me so long to update! I have a LOT going on right now and I can never find the right words to write... I will also be rewriting the beginning because it sucked. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter! :)
~Jules POV~
I peeked my head out of my room. I had been waiting for this opportunity for days now, Sam, Dean, Cas, and Bobby were all downstairs searching for demon activity in the area. I was just about to pop forward when I heard a voice. "You goin' somewhere?"Shit, Bobby had caught me. "Nowhere, where the hell could I go?"
"Watch your language, kid. Are you plannin' on helping us with this hunt anytime soon?"
I rolled my eyes, "Your not my father, Bobby. I'll help when I feel like it." I brushed past him to go into the bathroom. I breathed a sigh of relief as I closed the door and turned the rusted lock.
I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I was back in my time. I stood in the center of my room and the door opened. "Where the hell have you been, Jules?!" A gruff voice yelled. I turned around slowly, "I can explain-" I was cut off as my dad wrapped his arms around me. "Dad, I'm fine, just let me explain."
"Oh please do." I looked up from the floor, looking into a pair of blue eyes.
"I-I just took a little trip to the past. You, know, learn some history." I smiled sweetly at Castiel, my father.
"Would that history have anything to do with your father and I?" Dean stood, leaning against the doorway.
"What? Why would I go back in time just to watch some boring love story that I've heard about over a million times?" I rolled my eyes and sat down on my bed.
"Then where did you go?"
"Victorian England." I quickly answered. I hoped they would buy my bullshit story because i had been reading about Jack the Ripper recently.
"Yeah, sure. Did you learn anything interesting?" I could tell that he didn't believe my story, but he went along with it anyway.
"Nope. Well, nothing I didn't already know. Listen, I might be gone for awhile, I'm going to ancient Egypt to learn about the pyramids for a history project."
"Ok, and when do you plan on leaving? You're grounded, remember?" Cas stepped in on the conversation.
"Seriously? I promise I'll tell you guys when I leave next, okay? I won't leave without permission again, I promise. But, this is really, really important! Like, more important than you think!" I was getting frustrated at their lack of trust. Then again, I felt horrible for lying to them. "They have no reason to trust me..." I thought. I sighed to myself, knowing there was no going back after this.
Dean and Cas exchanged a look. Dean then sighed, looking back at me. "Fine, you can go. But, you need to stay for dinner and you need to check in tomorrow. And when you get back, you're grounded for a month."
I groaned, "Okay, okay fine. You win." I walked over and hugged my dads, I really did love them. God, I was a horrible person for lying but there was nothing I could do now, this was for their own good. I took one last look at them, smiling. "I'll be back by tomorrow!" I vanished, returning back to the past.
"Jules, wait!" Dean yelled. He sighed and then ran his fingers through his hair. Cas laughed at his irritation, "Don't worry, she'll be fine. She can take care of herself. Besides, I'll always be here until she gets back." Cas wrapped his arms around Dean. Dean hugged him back, burying his face into Cas's neck.
"Yeah, yeah. I know." Dean smiled lightly to himself.
Small note: sorry about how short the chapters are, I really suck at writing. This is my first fanfic and I know that it's terrible... But, I'm going to keep writing it because I have a good idea for the end!
You are all going to hate me *maniacal laughter* but I still love you all and, again, sorry for the lack of updates! Thanks for the votes! :) I hope you all stay fabulous! <3
