My View On What 'Love' Is

My View

Someone asked me the other day on what my view of 'love' was. If it was different to theirs. Which obviously it was because no two views of 'love' are the same. Some say it's about the big things, others say it's about the little. Some say it's about the adventures, others say it's about staying in. There is no true meaning of 'love' but we all have our version of it.

What is 'love' to me? Love to me.......... well I don't 100% know what 'love' to me is but I see it as a mixture of everything. Being able to share the little and big things with your best friend, singing at the top of your lungs and not caring what anyone thinks because it's at that specific time they are all you care about and want to be with. It's making someones day just by telling them that you miss them; but not at 1am instead at 1pm when you're busy going about your day. 'Love' is constantly having that person on your mind and just thinking about them makes you smile like crazy. It's who you look for in a crowded room, who you generally want the best for. 'Love' is staying in with popcorn and a movie, or it could be going out late. It's when you sit in a car as they are driving just looking at them thinking about how lucky you are and how you never want to lose them but sometimes you have to just so you can find yourself because loving someone so deeply you can lose yourself. But 'love' will find its way back to you. 

You can think 'love' is the tall, dark, handsome man you picture or the small, pretty, blonde you've always wanted but that's rarely who 'love' is. 'Love' will come with someone you least expect it to come with. That could be the shy kid in your class, or the nerd you always judged but when 'love' comes don't be scared of it, welcome it instead and make the most of it because once you lose it you will regret it. I always thought 'love' was going to come with a muscular, athletic guy but instead I hope it isn't that guy, I hope it's someone who understands me when no one else does. Never let your ideal person take over your mind because at the end of the day they may not be who you thought they were. 'Love' is when everyone around you finds what they do annoying yet you can't help but smile and laugh. Yes it may be embarrassing but you love them and all their annoying habits. 

So when people ask me what 'love' is I simply tell them........ I may not 100% know what it is but I'll know when it comes around and when it does I hope it's my best friend and that they love me just as much as I love them.
