School finished.
It was one of the rare days when Hitomi didn't skip school to hang out doing nothing with Ryuu.
Outside the classroom 1-A was a crowd. Bakugou explained that they were looking at the competition, since the class had survived a villain attack.
A tall guy, with purple hair and dark circles was talking (or as Hitomi called it 'pissing off') Bakugou.
Hitomi was returning from the bathroom. She saw the crowd and after listening to the conversation confused she tried to squeeze her way to the classroom.
She tapped the purple haired guy on the shoulder wanting to ask him to move a bit, but when he turned around she was at a loss for words
"Bad Joke?" Bakugou asked the girl who just stood still
"Umm.." The guy waved uncomfortable at her
Hitomi, without thinking, asked the boy
"Will you marry me?"
Of course, this sounded as a joke.
It really wasn't.
Hitomi grew up with her mother proposing jokingly to her father figure, but she never thought that someday she would ask the exact same thing to a stranger.
Weirdly enough, Hitomi felt really attracted to the guy and before she realized what was going on, she proposed
"E-Excuse me?" The guy moved away from her in confusion
"H-Huh?" Hitomi snapped back to reality.
The hallway, unlike a minute ago, was now silent and everyone was staring at the green haired girl
"Don't tell me I said that out loud" She said feeling really embarrassed
"WHAT THE HELL, JOKE?" An angry hedgehog yelled
"Hitomi-san?" Iida looked pretty confused as well
"Well damn, sis" Ryuu yelled from the crowd "You sure like rough lookin' things, huh?" he tried to hide a laugh.
Hitomi, blushing scarlet red, decided that the best course of action was to run.
She wanted to go back to the bathroom and never get out, but there were a lot of people behind her and it would take a while.
So Hitomi, being the wild girl she is, ran in the classroom, took her backpack and jumped out of the closest, open window.
She fell into a tree. She took her backpack and took a long white scarf that was identical to Eraserhead's scarf.
Well, it was a copy of his. He wanted to teach her how to use it.
Hitomi put her backpack on her back and tied one end on a tree branch and tied the other to her right hand. She rolled it a couple of times on her left hand and jumped of the tree.
The seafoam green haired girl pulled the scarf after landing safely on the ground and when it finally untied she stuffed it into her backpack and started running towards the train station.
But, there's a but, she didn't reach the entrance before Aizawa had caught her collar and took her to the principal's office.
"So you proposed to someone without realizing, then in embarrassment jumped out of the window of your classroom and used the scarf to get down from a tree?" Principal Nezu sighed.
"Yes..." Hitomi looked at her feet.
"I know you since you were little, but this behavior is unacceptable."
After the conversation with the principal, Hitomi sadly went home.
"So you jumped off a window and got suspended for a week?" Emi crossed her arms "I was going to ground you, but I heard what happened so I'll let you off the hook"
"Thanks Mom" Hitomi teared up a bit, she might skip class every so often, but she wasn't a troublemaker, at least in her own eyes.
"It's a good thing you're not participating in the sports festival" Emi sat down next to her daughter on the sofa "This way if you encounter another villain or you have a competition with someone they won't know what your quirk does"
"That's cool" Hitomi smiled "But wasn't I on TV when I was younger?"
"Umm... I forgot about that" Emi confessed "But I don't think they mentioned your quirk when they were talking about you helping pro heroes
"Well I hope they didn't"
"Oh, by the way, we're going to go watch the sports festival"
"But what if he's there?" Hitomi jumped up "I-I I can't!"
"It's gonna be okay" she patted the girls shoulder "Maybe you'll be able to pass it off as a joke... I hope"
"Yeah...
...
... Let's hope everyone forgets me proposing"
