Chapter 1: "tall, musculair and gay"
Kai POV
It's 7 in the morning and I'm already tired. Today I woke up because a certain little girl named Molly didn't hesitate to bounce on my sleeping figure. I jump from the shock making me fall of my bed. "You are is so much trouble young lady!" I grumble at her. "Just try to catch me first!" Molly giggles and starts to run out of my room. "Oh it's on!" I say as I follow her quickly. We speed through the halls of the orphanage waking most of the others with our loud thumps and screams. As we near the stairs I make a quick shortcut by jumping down and catching the girl of guard. Without thought i start to tickle her small frame and her short laughs are filling up the room.
"Thats enough joking around on this fresh morning don't you think." A warm but strict voice sounds from the doorway to the kitchen. My grip on Molly softens and she quickly makes her way into the kitchen while i smile at the person in front of me. "Come on Wanda! We were just playing." I whine playfully as I also make my way into the kitchen shooting Molly a playful glare before helping her deck the table.
After a short while the room is slowly starting to fill up as everyone is taking their place at the breakfast table, followed with some light chatter here and there. It was the first day of school and most of the small werewolves weren't entirely enthusiastic about it. Suddenly everything was quiet with the smell of pancakes floating through the room as Wanda came out of the kitchen with two ginormous plates, making my mouth water a little. As soon as the plate is set down everyone lunges for it. With my werewolf speed i quickly grap two and start munching while some of the kids try to steal little pieces from me. Pretty soon there is a full blown war going on with me using my fork and knife to sword fight my way to victory. No war is won without sacrifice so I give silent funeral for all my fallen pancake brothers.
Soon everyone is done eating and brings their plate to the dishwasher I take a quick look at the clock and almost jump out of my skin. "I'm going to be late! Thanks for breakfast Wanda." I hastily speak before giving her a kiss on the cheek and running to my room, which unfortunately for me was the attic. Ever since I came to the orphanage the attic has been my place. When i was little I could find my peace there and cry without anyone disturbing me, now i have made it a small man-cave. There is a computer, mini gym, playstation, footballtable, millions of pillow each another shape, color or size and my most proud creation the small indoor treehouse build on the beams of the roof. It was pretty nice if i do say so myself. I snap out of my trans like state and grab my bag before going downstairs. With a quick goodbye to the others i walk out of the front door to my black bike. The orphanage had gifted me the bike for my 18th birthday, a smile tugs on my lip as I think back to the wonderful day. Everyone had laid down a bit of their pocketmoney and with some extra help of Wanda they were able to buy it. I push the memory away reminding myself that I still have a school to drive to, so without hesitating I jump on a drive away.
During my ride I greeted some of my acquaintances, who mostly were shop owners like the baker and the flower lady. Here in this part of Forest-Edge most people knew each other and everyone was happily starting up their day. Small shops open all around, mothers are kissing their children sending them to school and workers are starting their cars for a long day at work. This is simply how it goes in the slumps of Forest-Edge and I personally wouldn't want to have it any other way. After 5 more minutes of riding im finally on the open road racing toward my school.
When I arrive it's still fresh outside with the morning air relaxing my body. I tens up when a small female body jumps on my back before yelling in my ear. "Good morning Skittle!" I wince at the high pitched greeting and shitty nickname before turning around to see Bex with a small smile displayed on her lips. "Who gave you too much coffee this morning, you are almost worse than me."
