I’m in love with the Geek, the freak, the girl that never wins, So what, so what.
She was the only one who never paid attention to his countless flirts and popularity. She didn’t care he was captain of the basketball team, becoming an internet sensation, or that he came from a wealthy family. Education. Her education, that’s what she cared about. He loved the way her eyes flickered over the yellow pages of her new book. The way her small fragile hands held it tightly closer to her, the way she bit down her rosy pink lips and twirled her hair over her index and middle finger and her pretty brown eyes began to widen like golf balls and then shrunk to normal size as she she turned a page. She stood there with her small delicate frame against the old rusty blue lockers, so engaged in her book everyday from 8:30 to 8:50am. She was oblivious to numerous stares she received from people as they walked by, she ignored all the whispered things that were said behind her back.
He was surround by countless people, jocks who invited him to hang out and cheerleaders who wanted to make out. These were all people whom they considered Austin as a friend but all he considered them as were classmates, because he had only one best friend. A red headed goofball. He never really paid attention to what they said, his eyes were glued to the girl with her nose in a book he was afraid that if he blinked he would miss something important. It was like he was in a endless trance, a beautiful dream; one of which he hoped he would never wake from.
“Hey look! there’s Nerdy Dawson” head cheerleader Ava remarked making everyone in the group laugh. Snapping Austin away from his daydream and his face slowly turning into a scowl.
“Guys watch this!” Ava and her set of minions walked over to small caramel highlights brunette. Austin, knowing how Ava was against those “geeks” tried to stop her from walking over there but Justin and the others boy blocked his path. He watched as Ava approach the small brunette with a coffee in her hand getting ready to dump on Ally when the door swung open and hit in her right in face making her fall down and spill the coffee on her minions. Austin chuckled watching as Ava’s planned of making fun of Ally failed.
“Ah look at what you did! you you geek!” Ava screeched as everyone chuckled in the hallway.
“Oh are you okay?” Ally lifted her head from her book and tried to help her up, but Ava slapped her hand away.
“Get away from me! look at what you caused.”
“W-what but I didn’t do anything.” Ally looked confused and took a step back.
“What is going on here? Ava what you doing on the floor?” Prinicipal Darwin asked.
“Nerdy Dawson pushed me and threw coffee on me!” Ava whined and started sobbing. Ally on the other hand looked hurt at what Ava called her and her eyes started filling with sadness. This made Austin’s heart break a little, those eyes should never a sad look in them he loved it when they were filled with happiness and excitement just like when she reads her book. He ran towards Ally and Ava.
“That’s not true Principle Darwin, Ava-” Austin started but the principal cut him off.
“Detention Dawson!” The principal screamed.
“But I-” He cut her off
“I said Detention! End of discussion” The principal said and stormed off rushing students to go to their classrooms.
“But I didn’t do anything!” Ally whispered and hung her head low and let out an aggravated sigh slumping her shoulders and headed for her first class. Austin watched as she away from the scene in sadness.
“Austy can you help me up?” Ava asked with a pretend sad look her on face.
“Why did you do that Ava!? What did Ally ever do to you?” Austin screamed in her face, Ava looked surprised at Austin’s outburst.
