Once they sat in the boat. Anton drove, while Abby directed him towards Alec's lab. Once they arrived at the Lab, they walked inside they Abby and Anton walked towards Alec's equipment that hasn't been destroyed.  Alec walked into the Lab, and saw Abby with the man and didn't know what to think. Alec darted for him, but Abby got in the way. "Alec, don't...he's my uncle...". She turned to face Anton. He smiled "Sorry, I wasn't expecting this...". Alec growled "Why is he here?". Abby spoke "He is a doctor, like you and I thought he could help". Alec sighed "Abby, how many times do I have to say it...". "... there is no cure me, I am part of the Green now". Anton spoke "You are apart of the Green". Alec questioned him "You know of the Green...". Alec stepped forward.

Anton spoke "Yes, I am not connected to it like you are...". Alec spoke "So you could cure me". Abby spoke "How do you know this?". Anton pulled up his sleeve, it showed a green scar on his arm. "I attacked the Green, and it thought back". Alec sighed "So what am I?". Anton spoke "There different elemental forces, the Red, the Clear, the Green and the Rot". Abby spoke "So what are the Red and the Clear?". Anton replied "The Red is animals, and the Clear is water". Anton "I have been studying it for years, and I have never met an avatar for the Green before". Alec spoke "An avatar?". Anton spoke "Someone who works with any of the elemental forces". Abby spoke "So is there anything we can do to help Alec".

Anton spoke "We need to run some tests, and they won't be very nice". Alec spoke "I will do it, just to understand what I have become". Abby spoke "This could hurt him". Alec spoke "Abby, I need to do this". Abby was reluctant, but she had to agree. Anton spoke "Abby, we should get started". Abby nodded "What do you need?". Anton spoke "For you not to be alarmed for what I am about to do". Alec spoke "I am ready". Anton grabbed the knife on the table and cut open his arm. Alec snarled in pain, and Abby covered her mouth and started to cry quietly and slowly. However, within seconds Alec healed, and the pain stopped.

Anton spoke "You don't bleed, but that least you feel pain...like any human would feel...". Anton spoke "Do you have a green spectrum light, to inhabitant the growth on your arm". Alec nodded and pointed to the shelf next to the smaller equipment. Anton spoke "Abby, would you mind getting it for me". Abby was still reluctant, but followed her uncle's request. She grabbed the light and held it over Alec's arm. Abby spoke "Alec, if you don't want to do this then...". Alec cut off Abby, with a slight growl "Abby, this is the only way...". Anton spoke "I am going cut open your arm so I can have a better look at your anatomy".

Anton cut open Alec's arm again, and he groaned in pain. However, his skin didn't heal. Anton spoke "You are not human Alec". Abby and Alec spoke in unison "What?". Anton spoke "If you were human you would have a human-like structure...and you don't...". Abby spoke "This is bullshit, Alec is human...". Abby removed the light and Anton spoke "Alec was never human to begin with...". Alec spoke "How, do you know this?". Anton growled "He doesn't have any nerves, and if didn't have any nerves he wouldn't feel any pain...". Alec stood up and stormed out of the lab. Abby followed Alec, and then Anton followed Abby.

Abby spoke "Anton, you need to stay here" she demanded. Anton spoke "Why?". Abby whispered "Alec needs a friend right now, if what you said is true, which I don't believe you". Anton spoke "That is weird, I never thought you be the type of person to dismiss scientific facts". Abby growled "Alec, needs to know that he has humanity, otherwise I will loose him forever" she cried. Anton sighed "You love him!". Abby whispered "Yes, I do...I love him for the man he was, and the person he is now" she growled. Abby whispered "Go back to the lab, I will be back soon" she added. Abby walked away to follow Alec, near the water where the boat exploded. Anton spoke "Soon, Abby you will understand why I am really here", he growled to himself, and walked back to the lab.

Abby searched for Alec, but then she saw walk out of the water, he was holding a body of ripped clothes and bones. Alec sighed "I am so sorry, Abby". He carried on "This is Alec Holland, Anton was right". He spoke with a stern and angry tone. "Alec Holland is dead!". Abby cried out "No!". Alec walked forward and placed the body on the ground. "Alec..." Abby whispered. Alec snarled at Abby "I am not Alec, I am holding a dead man's memories". Abby whimpered "You are Alec Holland". Alec huffed "No, your uncle was right, I wasn't even human in the first place". Abby cried "Alec listen to me...". He turned to Abby. She whispered "I love you, Alec". Alec made a dismissive sound, and stood up.

Alec snapped "You don't love me, you love Alec Holland, you will never love this Swamp Thing". Abby stood up "That is no true, I love you for what you are now and before". Alec sighed "You should go Abby, and this time don't come back". Alec looked at the body, and shut his eyes. Then moments later, the vines took back the body and dragged it back into the waters. Abby let out a few more tears before she noticed that Alec was gone. Abby rushed back to see that Anton was sitting the boat, he was waiting for her. She walked to the boat, and sat down as they both drove away.

Anton could see her visible tears. "He left you didn't he...". Abby snapped "Don't rub it in". Anton laughed "You have your mother's temper, and her stubborness". Anton carried on "That was the reason she left, she had some much potential, but not as much as you". Abby was confused "What are you talking about?". Anton stopped the boat "The reason your mother left was because of me, and when I knew she was leaving and I planted that picture inside that keepsake box, knowing how many years later her daughter will find it". Abby was about to jump in after the realisation kicked into her head. However, Anton grabbed her, and covered her mouth, he suffocated her until she stopped breathing. She whimpered and screamed but he was too strong. Abby fell unconscious, and Anton drove away.
