Hello everyone, I'm back💃 So after that heart wrenching chapter, I hope this chapter provides you with a bit of relief and is a cure for your heartache!
I just wanted to clarify, Samrat was NEVER a part of the Three Musketeers, he was just like a brother to Rehaan, and Nandini's confidant.
Without further ado, let's get into it!💌
Song of the Chapter: Yaaron, KK (Because obviously, I listened to this song and cried my ass off after the last chapter)
------------------------------//--------------------------It was freezing that night, and being outside in the snow didn't help either, but well, what could Manik do? He had to fix everything.
He followed Raichand out the balcony to outside Malik's mansion, where he was now sitting on a bench, not making a sound.
He quietly sat besides him, not saying a word, he knew pushing Rehaan right now was the worst idea.
"Look, I'm really not in the mood for a pep talk, Malik."
Rehaan muttered, not actually noticing Manik since his face was buried in his palms.
"Lucky for you, I'm neither Malik, and nor am I here for a pep talk."
Manik replied matter-of-factly as Rehaan turned towards him in surprise.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you."
He apologized genuinely, his eyes bloodshot and tired, and his face dull.
Manik's eyes softened looking at him, he had become so lifeless in a matter of minutes, so exhausted. He'd recognized that look, because Manik Malhotra knew exactly how Rehaan Raichand felt.
"Look Rehaan, you of all people know I'm not Samrat's biggest fan."
Manik started to speak, but was interrupted by a loud sigh from Rehaan.
He rolled his eyes and continued,
"But however much of an annoying prick I think he is, I can say one thing with absolute conviction,"
Rehaan looked at him with curious eyes, waiting for his deduction.
"That man surely didn't abandon you."
Manik finished his sentence, with a deadpan and blank eyes.
"How can you say that? You don't know him! You don't know me! You have no idea what happened."
Rehaan muttered defensively, flopping his hands through his hair.
"You're right, I don't know you, and him. But I do know abandonment. Hell, I wrote the book on abandonment."
Manik stated, with a dry chuckle and bitter eyes.
Rehaan looked at him, as if observing him, trying to figure out his damage.
"Neyonika Malhotra, a woman I've never addressed as my mom, is the sole reason that I lost everything. My music, my childhood, and most of all, my love."
He revealed, his eyes completely empty, giving no indication of the storm brewing in his mind.
Rehaan looked at him with surprise, he knew whatever happened with Manik and Nandini wasn't all Manik's fault, but his mother was involved?
"She never wanted me, I was just a way of extorting money from Raj Malhotra, her ex-husband, who couldn't be less bothered about either of us."
