Aizawa told Y/n to spend time with his class in their classroom while he set up a meeting with her and the Principal.

Needless to say Y/n was nervous. She was in a hero school that trained some of the best heroes in Japan. She had no idea why she was there and she had just found out she was going to meet Principal Nezu for reasons she didn't know.

Class 1A wanted to know more about the girl Aizawa had seemingly taken a liking to. So, some approached her.

"Hey! Y/n right? Come sit over here," Ashido waved the girl over to the seat beside her.

Y/n made her way to the seat Ashido had kicked her classmate out of.

"Hi," Y/n said softly, "Yeah my name's Y/n."

"What's your full name, again? I forgot what the officer called you while you were being..." Yaoyorozu trailed off.

"Arrested? Yeah. My full name is Y/n Maresh."

"Why was the officer arresting you?" Tsuyu asked.

Y/n rolled her eyes. "The man has some sort of vendetta against me, I swear. Everytime I'm involved in a villain attack or near a crime scene he thinks he can arrest me for using my quirk to harm. Even though I haven't."

"That's sad," Ashido frowned.

"You're really pretty you know that?" Kaminari complimented Y/n, cutting into the conversation.

Y/n looked at him blankly. "Why are you stating the obvious?"

The girls burst out laughing.

---

Y/n spent time with class 1A chatting with the girls who had introduced themselves to her. Y/n had taken a liking to most of those she had met so far in 1A. There were some who hadn't taken notice of her presence (Todoroki, Bakugou, Tokoyami) and then there were some who wouldn't stop talking (Midoriya, Ashido, Kaminari). Y/n found the class very unique and she immediately became fond of them.

Eventually, Y/n was called to Principal Nezu's office for the hasty meeting Aizawa had arranged.

---

"So, Miss Y/n Maresh is it?" Principal Nezu asked from behind his desk in his office.

"Yes," Y/n replied sitting on the chair opposite Nezu's desk.

"And do you know why you're here, Miss Maresh?"

"All I know is that Eraserhead wanted me to come to UA and claimed that that's how I can show my gratitude to him."

"Show your gratitude for what?"

"Oh, he protected some civilians, including my friend, who I failed to protect because I was thrown to the floor below in the shopping centre."

"It's not your fault, don't blame yourself for that." Nezu reassured gently seeing the hint of self loathing and disappointment in the girl's eyes.

Y/n ignored him and said, "So, why am I here then?"

Nezu smiled gently and answered, "We want you to join UA's hero course."

"WHAT?"

"We think you'd make a great hero and do wondrous things for the world. It's quite clear you have an innate desire to protect, which is essential for any good hero, and you demonstrated much skill and power when you used your quirk in the attack earlier on."

"I'm sorry. But I don't want to become a hero. If you're looking for someone to fill up a place I'm sure a popular school like this has a waiting list full of potential heroes." Y/n refused shaking her head.

"Surely, you would not want your talents to be wasted. You could do much good."

"Talents? What talents? It was just a bit of dumb luck. And like I said before I don't want to become a hero. If I did I would've enrolled at the beginning of the year."

"Well, Aizawa and myself both think that you would excel if you were here  at UA. I'm also quite sure that the rest of the faculty would agree once hearing about today's events. So, let's make a deal shall we?"

"About?"

"Your enrolment at UA."

"I already told you I don't want to become a hero." Y/n said exasperated.

"I think you're wrong. I think you do want to become a hero but something in you is holding you back..."

Y/n pursed her lips at that.

"...You might think you're not good enough for example. But let me tell you if Aizawa thinks you're good enough then you're more than enough."

A few moments passed.

"What would this deal entail?" Y/n asked cautiously.

"Spend 2 months here at UA as a student in the hero course. If you don't like it by the end of those 2 months you can leave. All you need is your parent or guardian's permission to go through with this agreement and the deal is done."

"Fine." Y/n huffed reluctantly.

"Perfect. Let's call home shall we?"

---

Y/n knew her family wouldn't let her go through with this deal. One of the reasons she agreed to it in the first place. They could be protective like that sometimes.

There's no way they would.

---

"Do it!"

What?! The one time she needed her family to be protective they choose not to.

Y/n listened to her brother and sister, who were both twins, chatter happily over the phone to Nezu discussing her enrolment to UA.

The one time I need them to not back me up they do the complete opposite.

Y/n's siblings had recently been given joint custody of Y/n as the 3 now live together in Japan. The 2 had always thought that their little sister could be a good hero but sadly she never seemed interested in it. So, when UA called up asking for their permission to enrol her at the top hero school in Japan they immediately said yes.

Nothing ever goes my way. Y/n thought slumping in her chair.
