(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
My eyes fluttered open, revealing my (e/c) irises to the world. Or at least to the cave wall, I was facing. I yawned and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, trying to find the motivation to get out of bed.
I tried to sit up but was held back by something strong. I looked down and saw an arm wrapped firmly around my waist. I smiled happily, knowing who it was attached to.
The arm tightened around me and I felt a nose nuzzle into the back of my neck.
"Go back to sleep idiot. We don't have anything to do today." My beau grumbled, sleep evident in his voice.
I rolled my eyes, "No Katsuki, you don't have anything to do today. I have to help Kiri with some of the hatchlings. They haven't been properly introduced to humans yet and they need to be if you want to stay alive."
Katsuki 'tch'ed, "It'll take more than some stupid little hatching to take me down! Besides, I'm more important. Let Kiri handle them and stay in bed with your beau." I chuckled, though somewhat exasperatedly.
"Love, last time I let him train the young ones alone, they all ended up flying claw-first into your back whenever they saw you. Ilma still doesn't like you near her." I giggle out, picturing the protective purple hatchling.
"So what? Does it look like I care? She doesn't scare me. An-"
"And you don't scare her... Katsuki, when you tried to intimidate her, it ended with you screaming at her and her screaming back. You two can't even understand each other!" I exclaim, still slightly amazed that this man can start a fight with anyone and I do mean anyone.
Before he could say anything else, I flipped around and threw a leg over his waist. Sitting on his abdomen with my hands on his chest, effectively cutting him off.
However, that just started a different thought process. He smirked up at me and lightly caressed my bare hips. "So you've made your decision, brat?" He asked, a certain tone hidden in his voice.
I smirked back and leaned down, "Of course, darling." I kissed him, allowing his touch to become just light enough... before jumping off of him and walking away.
He growled, before glaring at me with pure irritation. I 'innocently' smiled at him, before putting on my arm braces and placing my dagger holster around my hips. Each accessory accompanying the outfit I was already wearing. Seeing as I sleep in my clothes to make things easier and quicker in the mornings.
(A/n: Y'all nasties were thinking you were naked huh?)
(A/n: This is what the bottom half looks like, the top is just a simple tube top of the same material. Feel free to imagine something else though if you'd like!)
I walked out of our homey little cave, but not before looking over my shoulder at Katsuki one last time.
"Feel free to go back to sleep if you'd like, my love."
Knowing full well, he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep after that, I chuckle before making my way to where I thought Kirishima would be.
I eventually found him playing with the hatchlings in his full dragon form and quickly transformed into mine. Knowing the babies would become anxious if a human came to close. We're already taking a risk with Katsuki being near, but because his scent was there when they were hatched, it hasn't set them off too much.
The other problem is that we don't want them to be too trusting of humans either. The world is dangerous and just because they can trust one human, doesn't mean they can trust all of them. So... baby steps for now. Kirishima and I are still trying to figure out how to teach them both sides without confusing them.
I flew up and over to the red dragon, letting out a low growl to signal my presence. The hatchlings gliding around him immidiately turned their heads and flew to me excitedly.
Kiri let out a whiny huff, "Why do they like you more?"
I smiled cheekily at my brother, "Well good morning to you too, Kiri." The hatchlings nipped at my (f/c) scales, trying to pull my attention away from him. I nudged one of their heads affectionately with my own, silently saying 'Good morning' to them as well.
Kiri gave a smile, then flew away from me, swishing his tail. I took that as his signal to follow him and did so, making sure the hatchlings were behind me.
He leads us to a valley where we would introduce them to our human forms. When we landed the hatchlings chirped and squeaked curiously.
"Alright little ones, calm down." I laughed, trying to keep the energetic dragons from flying off. I nudged them all in a little group and laid down behind them. Making sure my head and tail provided adequate barriers, both to keep them together and to protect them. Call it being overprotective, but their mothers trusted me to keep them safe and that's what I'll do.
Kiri walked a few yards away and faced me and the hatchlings. He took a deep breath, his exhale letting out smoak before he started to shrink.
The hatchlings started to get restless at the new sight. I lightly growled in reassurance. When the redhead was done transforming, he had two small red horns poking out from his head, beautiful scaley wings protruding from his human back, fangs that could pierce through solid steel, and his red eyes were still formed into slits, as a dragon's eyes should be. The rest of him, though, was now human.
He sat down calmly, cross-legged and un-threatening, his wide goofy smile never leaving his lips. He looked at the hatchlings expectantly. With a small nod from me, they started to slowly waddle over to the now half-human. Cautiously, they circled around him, sniffing the new, but somehow still familiar scent.
A small yellow dragon, named Forvitinn, slinked around to Kiri's back before jumping on his head. Kiri laughed wholeheartedly as the hatchling tried to make a nest in the red-head's mass of spikey hair.
This action caused a chain reaction. Suddenly all the babies were climbing on him. Licking him and nipping, curiously. Kirishima just kept laughing, trying to swat them off playfully. I smiled at the sight.
I hear a loud roar come from the mountains and the hatchlings perk their heads up. After a few seconds, the roar sounded again. This time the babies launched into the air and started flying towards the summon.
It sounded like Verndari, Ilma's father. He was calling the dragons together. I furrowed my brows and turned towards my brother. He returned the look and ran towards me. I lowered my head so he could swing onto my neck and then flew towards where the others were gathered.
When we landed I noticed the mothers were all huddled with their children and the males were guarding them. I shrunk into my hybrid form and looked for Katsuki, who was crouching on top of the mountain peak. Watching over the dragons. I wondered what was going on until I sensed it.
"There's evil in the air."
