Episode 5: Nightmare

[Blur Vision]

"Rosé unnie! I wanna go to the playground!!" A little girl begs the bigger one

"Joy-ah! You are still sick! You cannot go outside for now!" Another little girl responds with her shaking head. The petit one starts sobbing immediately when her big sister rejected "If mum knows, she will scold unnie again. Joy-ah! Chaebal!" The bigger girl holds her little sister shoulder with both little hands

"Just a moment please unnie! Mum won't know." Her begging eyes become teary more and more

"Ok ok ok! Stop crying, ok? Unnie is taking you there... But just a moment, deal? You are still sick."

"Yeee!!! I love you, unnie!" The smaller stops crying all of sudden and become joyful again.

[At the child's playground]

"Unnie! I want that ice-cream!" Little Sooyoung points at ice-cream cart that is around 30 meter from them

"Arrasseo! Wait for unnie here, ok? Don't go anywhere! Unnie will be back." 9-year-old Chaeyoung holds her sister's shoulders a moment until she nods obediently for not going anywhere until her big sister comes back.

Little Chaeyoung holds two ice-cream cans in her both little hands while walking toward her waiting little sister. Suddenly she hears little girl's scream and cry...

"Joy! Oh my god!" Little Chaeyoung throws the ice-creams away and runs as fast as she can to her sister as she sees her sitting on the ground and crying her eyes out "Joy-ah! What happened?" She panics as she sees bruises on the younger's knee and elbow "I'll carry you home. Get on my back!"

Little Chaeyoung is panic because her sister got bruises as well as she doesn't know how to face her mum. In her head was full of question 'WHAT IF MUM IS HOME RIGHT NOW?' Besides, her sister is in pain so what can she do to help her?

[Arrive home]

Finally, her thought on the way was right...

"Park Chaeyoung! What were you up to?" As she arrives her house, her mother is right in front of her at the front door... Stares at her with fierce and angry facial... "How many times I have to tell you that your sister cannot go outside? She is in bad condition right now and you still dare to bring her out? You are thinking of only for yourself, your own fun. You don't care about others!"

Chaeyoung's face is freaking pale right now... Her mum looks for her sister at her back... She widens her eyes and shouts at little pale girl... "Yah! Auntie Sun! Come here! You! Park Chaeyoung! I'm gonna teach you lesson right now!"

"Ye Madame!" Auntie Sun comes and bows at Mrs. Park

"Take Sooyoung to give her treat on her bruises." Mrs. Park commands. Auntie Sun bows and takes Sooyoung from Chaeyoung's shoulder. Chaeyoung, little girl is still pale and doesn't spit a single word. Her legs are shaking!

Mrs. Park grabs Chaeyoung's wrist and pulls her with her fierce expression. She locks the room and inside, there are only her and her daughter. Mum gives her daughter a fierce stare that is full of anger while Chaeyoung doesn't even explain herself or say anything. She knows this happens eventually...

"You know your fault, don't you?" Mrs. Park says with her cold voice while Chaeyoung lows her face down. "Face the wall and raise your both arms up!" Mum yells at her daughter, but is she her mum? Why mum is so fierce with her own daughter? Why Chaeyoung only, not Sooyoung?

"Mum! Chaebal! I know it's my fault taking Joy out!" Chaeyoung bites her own lip with red eyes but not a single tear drops from them. Mrs. Park doesn't even care... She pulls the little against the wall and takes out a small whip from her desk. "Mum! Rosé know that Rosé is wrong! Chaebal!" Poor little girl is more panic with her shaking voice... her legs are shaking more and more... but her mum doesn't even blink...

"You deserve this, Rosé! You deserve this punishment as you don't listen to me!" She whips the little without mercy... Little Chaeyoung bites her lower lip till it almost bleeds with her both arm raising up against the wall... the elder still whips her without hesitation... Her little butt is almost bleeding now... Mum pauses a bit "Your duty is to protect your little sister, but what have you done? You only drags her to worse condition... You make scene every single day... I shouldn't have given you a birth!" Chaeyoung's lower lip is bleeding because she bites it harder... Is she that bad person that her mum regretted baring her?

Mrs. Park whips her more without even blink... "You are really an unlucky star like they said. You only bring bad luck!" What? Her mum believes in fortune?

[Present Chaeyoung is awake from her dream on her bed]

She is sweating and lost! It is that dream... Again after she met Sooyoung on that day. She has dreamed about the similar pictures of her childhood memories after days... not good ones tho. She takes a heavy breath and calms her heart down while covering her own face. She take a deep breath before stepping down from her bed and goes downstairs. She opens the fridge and pour some water into the glass. As drinking water, she turns to look at the clock on the wall. It points exactly at 12:15am. Of course, she hasn't had a nice sleep these days, after she met Sooyoung, her little sister, but she doesn't even tell anyone, even her granny.

Chaeyoung puts the glass down and opens the front door to get some fresh air outside. She doesn't want to go back to sleep since she's afraid to face her nightmare again... It's hurt too much, Chaeng!

As wandering in the yard in front of the house, something catches Chaeyoung's eyes outside the house's gate... She tries to look for what it is... It's a person... Wait! That person is lying on the ground? Since that gate is low and has big holes, she could see through outside and it's obviously a person, a man lying on the ground! Chaeyoung walks closer cautiously to see what it is exactly... Closer... And closer... She peeps from inside the gate to see who... But it is someone with a familiar gesture and face...

"Sh*t!!!!!!!!! Chanyeol?!?!!!?"
