Chapter 8

A Few Days Later...

Naina is feeling better now, she decides to go to the temple and then go to college. She does her bussiness and comes out to have her breakfast whilst Preeti has gone.

Naina: It feels so much better that I can go outside again.

Once she has finished, she comes outside breathing in the fresh air. This time she decides to take her car and then leaves from there arriving at the temple. Naina walks up the steps and rings the bell twice and starts to pray.

Naina: Dear god, thank you making me well again, like always I have come here to find peace and bring happiness to everyone's life. I will try not to put stress on myself and take everything easy. Ever since Sameer has come my life has changed for the better, he loves me a lot and I know I am taking a lot of time, but what can I do I haven't done anything speacial for him, but I promise it will happen soon.

She sits in her car and arrives at college parking her car. She texts her Mom that she is in college so that she does not get worried and steps out putting her phone in her bag. She goes inside and sits in the liabrary doing some work as she has already missed her morning lesson. A guy called Ranbir is sat next to her and he knows that Naina is Sameer's fiancee.

Ranbir: Congratulations Naina on your engagement.

Naina: Thank you Ranbir

She starts studying with a lot of concentration and she is very focused in this. He is amazed to know that she is a fast learner, and she helps him out as well. She checks the time and packs everything up waving at him. Naina comes out and starts to search for her friends.

Naina: Where are they all?

Naina bumps into someone and looks up to see who it is. She is in relief when Sameer is standing in front of him. She gets lost into his eyes as she has not seen him since that day he came to her house. They both suddenly hug one another just to have each other in thier arms.

Sameer: You should have told me that you were coming I would have picked you up.

Naina: You were in lesson and I didn't wanted to disturb you so I came in my car.

Sameer: You never bring your car here

Naina: Believe it or not this time I did.

Naina starts jumping in excitement like a little girl who wants candy. Sameer becomes confused and giggles a bit...

Sameer: What are you doing?

Naina: Can't you see I'm doing exercise Mr. Maheswari. I've been in bed for a week and my feet have become lazy in not walking.

Ranbir: Naina you forgot this in the library

Sameer takes it from him and holds Naina's hand bringing her into the canteen where thier friends are waiting. They all become surprised that she is here and they run to hug her.

Pandit: How are you feeling?

Naina: Much more better and I'm active now.

Naina stands on top of the table telling her to come down...

Naina: Tum logo ko pata hai kal kya hone wala hai?

They shake thier heads no, and Naina starts dancing by giving them a hint.

Naina: Kal hamari sangeet hai aur bahaut mazza anewala hai toh tum logo nay decide kiya which song we are going to dance on?

Munna: Oh shit we totally forgot about that

Naina: Kaise dost ho yaar tumne Sameer aur mere sangeet bulgaye? Koi baat nahi kyunki hum teeno nay practice karliya hai and we will win.

Sameer: Oh hello madam hum jeetange

Swati: You wanna bet on that?

Sameer shakes hands on that and places his condition.

Sameer: If we win you all will have to follow us everywhere.

Naina: Sameer we do that all the time say something else.

Pandit: If we win you will have to propose Sameer.

Naina: And if you lose you will have to stay away from us for a day.

Munna: We accept it then, but what if we both win then?

Preeti: Then we will pay each other 1000 rupees.

It is the next day and this sangeet is going to be different than usual. The girls do thier last minute rehearsals and get changed after that. The Maheswaris arrive where the sangeet will happen. They are impressed with the decorations and are served drinks. Naina looks at herself and she looks like Micheal Jackson.

Swati: Naina you do know how to do the lean step?

Naina shows them both and they cheer for her. They can hear her Mom announcing thier name and the lights come on when they are on stage. The performance begins and Sameer is blown away with thier dance. He did not expect that they would do something like this. She does the moonwalk so smoothly just like spreading butter on bread. The last step Naina does is her favourite she leans forward winking at them all and stands back up straight again. Munna has recorded thier dance and they all clap for them.

Rakesh: That was outstanding all of you.

Deepika: Naina Bhabhi aap toh Micheal Jackson say bhi better natchi ho.

Naina: Tora show off toh karna parta hai ab tumhare bhayya ki bari hai.

Sameer, Munna and Pandit start doing thier performance. The others start whistling and clapping to it since it is Punjabi. Naina is having fun recording it as it is very catchy and everyone claps for them once it has finished.

Sameer: Ab bolo kisne better dance kiya?

Both of the families decide that they all won together, and become so happy that Naina starts dancing freestyle. They all join in with her and have a great time together.
