Beam's POV :
As a highly responsible and devoted fourth-year that I am, I decided to do an internship at the university infirmary as a doctor assistant. I am a very hard-working guy. Hehe. But to be a bit more honest with you, the whole cohort is forced to do an internship of three months to gain experiences.
Let me introduce myself before anything else; my name is Beam Baramee, I'm a fourth year medical student at Rangsit University, I have a girlfriend called N'Chompoo we've been together for two years now, she is a second year in the engineering department at Kasetsart University, we have lots in common. She started as a medical student and this is how we met for the first time but much to everyone's dismay in her second year she decided to change major.
But back to today, so this is actually the first day of work and I am currently on my way to see the Professor Prachaya whom I will assist this year. Walking peacefully my way there, I suddenly hear some noises coming from an alley near where I stood and since I'm a busybody I can't help but go to have a look at what is happening and was not disappointed. In front of my eyes stand two groups of what I would call troublemakers, from the engineering department. From what I can grasp they are going to fight. On the right side a group wearing red jackets with black undershirt, which I will call the Fire team, and on the other side they were wearing blue jackets with black undershirt, which I call the Ocean team. One of the Ocean team caught my attention because he has a tattoo on his right side of the neck. I could see his jaw clench as one of the fire team talk rudely to the opposite team.
He didn't throw the first punch but gave just as good as he got, it was a sight to see not that I'm into all this macho display. Too much testosterone if you want my opinion. But both parties didn't seem to want to back down, the handsome guy had his hand around someone's throat and you could see his lips turning blue and that's when much to my dismay I decided to intervene in order to break the fight.
I yelled that the security guards were coming this way and that seemed to break the fighting spell, everyone scurried away except one guy, the one I had my eyes on since the beginning he was fit and handsome in a rugged way; I guess if you were into all the don't fuck with me kinda look. I didn't leave the scene but instead made my way to him against my best judgment I tell you. He was even more impressive, at 5ft10 I was in no way small but he had easily 5 inches on me, and was muscular he probably hit the gym more often than me, he was intimidating and has this aura surrounding him, his piercing brown eyes didn't help; I felt like I could drown into them even though he was a man and I wasn't gay. I was attracted to this guy I couldn't deny it. Once I was close enough, he turned his head my way and kept his gaze on me while I walked towards him. So, I decided to talk to him to make sure he wasn't injured.
Beam: How are you still standing up? you took quite the punch back then?
Guy: It's none of your fucking business.
Beam: Usually I care about my own business but as a doctor in the making I can't help but worry. Your jaw seems to have taken a good blow.
Guy: The guy in front of me won't be in any better shape trust me, I know how to fend for myself
Beam: Still will you let me take a look, it won't take long.
Guy: Man I told you alright, leave me alone!
Beam: I make it my business now let me take a look at you.
And without another words I took him by the wrist, not caring about what people might say if they saw us holding hands. I brought him to infirmary of the university asking for Doctor Prayacha to attend him.
Nurse: Wait here he'll be there soon
Beam: Thank you
It took fifteen minutes before the doctor made an appearance I saw him smile widely as soon as he saw me.
Doctor Prachaya: Good to see you Beam. Weren't we supposed to meet in my office?
Beam: Yes, but the big guy over there got hurt so I brought him here for you to do a check up.
Not waiting a second, the doctor proceeds to examine him his pupils were huge; he probably had a concussion, he also had a split lip and will probably have a black eye by tomorrow, his pulse was normal.
As I described the scene which unfolded in front of my eyes, he had been lucky to sustain only minor injuries, and no severe wounds it could have been worse.
Guy: So, can I go now.
Doctor: You should stay and rest for a little while you have a concussion.
Guy: But I feel fine so I'm taking off.
He left without another word we were both taken aback by his cool attitude, I ran after him in the corridor.
Beam: Wait up you need to rest the doctor just said so and you need your medicine.
Guy: Why don't you leave me alone for goodness's sake!
He left without another word and I stayed there speechless how rude a guy can be... I helped him out and this is how he thanked me?! I better not see him ever again this dumbass. I shook my head in disbelief and went back to where I left Doctor Prachaya and started talking to him.
Beam: Sorry for disturbing you with him I don't know what he acted like that.
Doctor: Don't worry it's nothing I just hope that he will take care of himself properly.
Beam: If he doesn't who cares it's not like we will run into him anyway.
Doctor: We were supposed to meet this morning at eleven I guess we can talk about the formalities now
Beam: Sure doc, what do you expect me to do?
Doctor: It's easy four days a week you will assist me in the afternoon, we have all kind of patients from simple stomach-ache to more serious cases, but you'll see once you get on your shift. I'm not trying to scare you away but things can get hectic during the day especially with the hazing from the engineering department most of the freshmen come in at least 3 or 4 times a week.
Beam: What am I supposed to do with them?
Doctor: Treat them kindly most of the times they are scared as hell of their seniors and barely make it to the infirmary since it's seen as a weakness...
Beam: They must be tyrants if they are so scary.
Doctor: I wouldn't say that, but things can escalate easily. Hopefully this year's head hazer will be more lenient. Now I'll show you around, so you know where you'll be exercising.
Beam: Thank you for your help I will make sure not to bother you too much.
Doctor: I'm sure we will get along just fine.
Doctor: We have a meeting with the dean of Engineering faculty, let's go and I will explain to you on our way there.
We arrived at the faculty of engineering and he knocked at the door of the office. We were welcomed by the head of faculty with a big smile and were invited to sit down. After few minutes of discussion, a knock was heard. The dean of faculty opened the door and let someone in. Doctor Prachaya and I were both stunned to see who it was
