(I'm sorry this first part is a little short. Might add more to it but I'm not sure yet. Give me feed back please! Point out any grammar or spelling errors I missed! And if there is something that would sound better reworded then leave a comment. I know I'm not the best at writing but I'm trying to get better! Thanks in advance!)

"So, Maisy, how have things been in the new apartment?" her friend asked her as she slowly stirred her coffee.

Cassie and I have this thing where we try and meet every month or two months at this coffee shop in our home town. We both live fairly close to the town still, so it usually isn't an issue.

"It's been very interesting. A good interesting though, like really good," I try hiding a smile, but she catches me. We've known each since we were five, I don't know why I thought I could've hidden it.

"I saw that smile!" She said pointing her spoon at me, "Spill it, missy."

"Okay, okay." I giggle and start telling her about my time at the new apartment. I've only been there for a little over three months, but in that time, I've made a friend. However, I have never met this friend and I don't know his name. He's my neighbor and our bathrooms are right next to each other. I'm not sure how this happens, but we always end up showering at the same time. I know very little about him. Well, I actually know close to nothing about him except his taste in music and how he sounds when he sings. To be fair, that's all he knows about me too.

I don't remember when I noticed that we were showering at the same time or why I started singing along. I do remember the day I did start singing along though. We were showering. He was listening to a song I've heard him play a bunch, must be his favorite. He had played it so much that I knew the lyrics fairly well and I just decided to join in. I think it shocked him at first, almost like he didn't realize his bathroom shared a wall with mine, because he momentarily stopped singing and paused the song like he wasn't sure if he was hearing another voice or if it was just in his mind.

"Hello?" I hear him say hesitantly, "Is someone there?" I figure it was best I not to say something. So, I very quickly start my music and start singing along to the first song. After a minute, I hear his shower turn off. I quickly finish the rest of mine thinking maybe I shouldn't have sung along. Hoping I didn't freak him out any, I head into my living room still drying my hair. I noticed something on the floor by my front door. I walk over and pick up a folded note,

"Dear apartment 102,

I have come to the realization that our showers share a wall. I apologize if I have caused any disturbances up to this point. From here on out I will keep our shared shower wall in mind and be more cautious.

Sincerely,

Your friendly neighborhood shower singer"

At this point, Cassie had the biggest smile I had ever seen her with. She was looking at me eagerly as if she were a little kid waiting for the biggest present they'd ever seen.

"What's that look for..." I ask hesitantly.

"This is like out of a story Maisy! It's unbelievable and I'm loving it", Cassie practically shouts, throwing her hands in the air, "I want to hear more Mai".

"You won't be hearing more if you don't stop calling me that!" I shoot daggers at her with my eyes.

"Sorry! I forget you don't like your nickname anymore".

"New town, new me", I say before taking a sip out of my quickly cooling coffee. "Anyway, I'll have to save the rest for another day. I need to get going or I'm going to be late for work."

"Fine!" Cassie says dramatically, "But I expect to hear the rest tomorrow!"

"Whatever!" I shout at her as I walk off towards my car.
