The warriors former a circle around Eric and Simon in a clearing where I guess they did training. Julia and Chad stood back along with me on a little hill a few feet away from the ring of people. Far enough from the fight but high enough to see.

While we waited for the fighters to strip to their boxers, I told Julia everything. She was like my mentor in high school. She helped me out and protected me and my friends from bullies. It was the year she left that Freddy Smith started picking on me. I guess when the wolves are away, the jerks come to play.

I watched Eric eye his buff opponent like a predator eyes it's prey before his eyes turned to Chad and he spoke. My ears couldn't catch it.

"He asked what were the rules in this pack during a fight." Julia filled me in. I nodded gratefully as Chad spoke up. "Skin until our Gamma says shift. No claws or teeth till you're in your fur. Fight until one submits."

He talked normally but I guess werewolf hearing could catch every word he spoke.

I saw Eric shake his head before he looked at Simon and smirked. He said a few more things that made his opponent shake with fury.

Julia looked wide eyed as she turned to me. "He said that Simon is lucky that this fight is till submission. Rules in his pack is fight till death for every challenge." I looked at her confused.

"Why is that surprising?" I asked her.

"Those are the rules of the Crescent Moon pack. It hasn't been practiced since the First ones created our pack. And the Crescent Moon pack is a fairytale." She said with uncertainty in her voice. "But then again...from what you've told me, I guess it does exist in the Old World."

"First ones?" I asked as I eyed the two fighters circling each other.

"When our ancestors arrived in this world centuries ago, there were a few pregnant women...all carrying supernatural babies. Our ancestors were seven boys. All of them found their mates and marked them." She started to tell me as Simon launched an attack on Eric.

"They became she-wolves and hence, seven packs were formed. Their pack members made up of bitten humans who felt the pull to join. Over time, we had a steady population increase that made it possible for us to branch out and claim territories. Our pack, Blood Moon and Blue Moon, Simon's pack stayed here in Hollow Cove."

Eric blocked each and every punch Simon threw, until the last one aimed at his cheek was stopped mid air. Simon, shocked, was met with a fist to his face. As he bent down, Eric brought a knee to his face, breaking his nose.

I was shocked. His body was a weapon and it was magnificent. His shirtless look made many of the She-wolves watching rumble in approval. I narrowed my eyes at them, temporarily turning my eyes away from the fight.

I heard a grunt and turned back as Julia turned to look at what I was looking at. I saw Simon take a claw and swiped at Eric's stomach.

I stood up right away and started fuming "THATS CHEATING! Have you no shame you arrogant piece of s-..." Julia yanked me back down and smiled. "Don't fret, Simon is no match for your man. Claws or no claws." I nodded and grumbled.

"And you don't have to worry about those women. All female wolves respond like that to wolves of power. I almost killed 10 she-wolves for eye humping Chad when we first mated." She smiled warily. I nodded again. "Besides, the way he looks at you and keeps stealing glances during this match, you can tell he's smitten." She announced brightly. I blushed as I looked back and sure enough, after every attack his eyes quickly glance my way.
