When you have lost something you held dearly to your heart, you may feel that everything is layered with gloom, and you feel that life isn't worth living anymore. But whatever happens, you have to move on.

(Y/n) is a normal person. You were born into a family like thousands of others, but your parents have died in a car crash when you were 5, leaving you all alone, as an orphan. For 8 years, you have lived in an orphanage, which treated you horribly, and at the age of 13, you finally ran away from the hell-like orphanage, into the desert. For days, you have wandered around the desert, until you stumbled across a village, Brawl Town. You were about to ask the townsfolk where you were, but you fainted on the ground before you saw anyone.

Pam POV
Aaah. What a nice day. We have a Brawl Ball match today and I'm playing in it. Although it doesn't start for another 40 minutes, it's better to be early than late, am I right?
As I was walking to the brawl ball stadium, I noticed someone lying down on the floor. IT WAS A KID! I quickly brought him into the house. As he had a mild case of dehydration and stroke, I did some treatment on him and gone off to the Brawl Ball stadium, as I didn't want to be late. After the match, I rushed straight home to check on the kid. As Jessie was out with her brother Colt and their friends, there was no one home and I did some knitting, and waited for (Y/n) to wake up.

<Time skip to when (Y/n) woke up>

Y/n POV
I sat up groggily, then remembering what happened. I remember fainting due to the heat and lack of water. I should be dead by now. I ask myself, "Am I alive?" Then I hear a voice say, "Of course, hun. You're finally awake. You've been out cold for quite a few hours."
I am shocked by this, as I have never seen this lady in my life. As my sight rejoins me, I take a good look at this lady. She's a lady in her late 30s, and a bit burly for one. She has a full head of red hair with a hair band on top. "I'm Pam nice to meet ya. What's your name?"
"My name is (Y/n)."
"Well thats a nice name (Y/n)! Now tell me, why are you out here on your own. You seem a bit young for a traveller."
I then tell her about my life; how I was orphaned at a young age, how I lived in a horrid orphanage, and how I escaped and ended up here.
"I'm sorry (Y/n) about your sad past. You know what? Maybe you can stay with us!"
My eyes sparkled with joy, as I could finally experience what it's like to have an actual family.
"I can?!" I asked
"Yeah. We just have to tell the other brawlers!"
We then talked into the night, and I slept on the couch which could turn into a bed when needed. (Yes it is a true thing.)
The next day, Pam gave me some cereal to eat. I was extremely grateful, as the old lady at the orphanage often didn't give us much to eat. Just bread and water to keep us going.

Jessie POV
As there was a thunderstorm yesterday, I stayed at Bibi's for the night. This morning, I immediately ran back to my house to apologize to mom.
As I stepped inside, I shouted, "Mom, I'm sorry I couldn't come back yesterday. There wa-" Then, I noticed a guy sitting at the table, eating cereal.
He was (description for Y/n, because I don't know how to describe people). But the most peculiar thing about him was his electric blue eyes and streak of blue down his hair.
"Mom?" I asked, "Who is this?"
Then mom replied,"He's (Y/n). He's an orphan who stumbled across our town while he was running away from the orphanage."
I was shocked, because I never knew things like these happened in real life! I thought they just happened in soap operas!
"Well in that case," I said with a smile, "Welcome to Brawl Town (Y/n)!"

(Y/n) POV
I was shocked by her response. These two has actually been nice to me!
"Now lets go introduce you to the others!" Jessie said.
The mother and daughter then took me to see the other brawlers. They were all very nice to me, and they explained their 'job' as a brawler and gave me a tour around Brawl Town.
Sometimes, they ask me how I coped up with myself in the past. I just shrugged, and said, "I just moved on."

Pam POV
It's been two years since (Y/n) came into our lives, and these two years had been wonderful. (Y/n) brought joy to everyone in Brawl Town, especially to me and Jessie. His funny quips lightened the mood, and he gets along with the other brawlers. Most importantly, he has gotten his way to my little girl's heart, and they are now great friends. Jessie is acting a little flirty though, I wonder...

3rd POV
FLASH there was a big flash of lightning which shock the whole Brawl Town. "What was that?" asked Barley. "Well by the looks of it, it seems to be a storm. Get inside!" Said Rosa. As she was the metorologist as well as the town's botanist, the brawlers heeded her advice and ran back to their respactive homes.

<Time skip to after the storm>

(Y/n) POV
Well it was one of the biggest storms that I have been through, and thats saying a lot. After the storm, we got out out of the house and checked if everything was alright. Pam, being our engineer, rushed to check if the machines, and most importantly, the spawners were alright. After checking and fixing a few things, we all met back at the town centre. Pam said that the spawners were alright, and were ready to go. Then Bull asked, "Who's up for a game of showdown?" As I was bored of being cooped up in the house for hours, I volunteered to participate.

<Skip to when the battle starts>

(Y/n) POV

When the game started, I looked around to see what map it was. Ah, Skull Creek, my favourite map. I looked around for power boxes, and saw one not too far away from me. I quickly broke it, but when just when I was about to run away, Shelly jumped out of the bushes, and tackled me down!

Shelly's POV
Ha! I KNEW this trick would be useful! "Hasta lavista!" I said before shooting him down. I was used to mercilessly killing people (because I'm a brawler. Thats what we do) but I didn't expect what I was seeing right now. Instead of turning into dust, leaving only powercubes, (Y/n) was soaked in blood, and coughing it up, obviously in pain!
I was shocked and was stunned by the scene before I yelled, "TRUCE!" This was used when we had to stop the game, usually because there was a storm coming. I never thought we would use it like this!

Jessie POV
While I was walking around, I heard Shelly call for a truce. It was strange as we just had a storm, but the others and I ran to Shelly's position, and saw what was wrong.
When I got there, I almost fainted from shock- i saw (Y/n), my crush, the one I would give anything to be with, was lying down in a pool of blood. Holding in the the tears in my eyes, I asked, "Wha- what happened?"
Then I heard (Y/n) voice, full of pain, say, "Maybe the spawner broke..."
I felt my heart broke, as I knew that the spawners were what kept us brawlers alive. Without them, we were goners.
"It's my fault! If I had checked the spawners more clearly, this would not have happened!" I heard mom say, full of sorrow in her voice.
I saw the other brawlers rush down to see whats wrong, and have their worried faces turn into ones of disbelief.

(Y/n) POV
My whole body hurts, but what hurts the most isn't my arms, my legs or even my wounds, what hurts the most is my heart, as I'm seeing my friends, my new family being in such pain.
"Listen," I say. "Can you guys do me a favour?" "Anything!" I heard everyone reply.
"Please don't mourn over me. Accept the truth. Don't dwell on the past. Instead of being sad about the days we are apart, be happy about the days we were together. Instead of mourning over my loss, cherish the memories we've had together. Instead of thinking of what could have been if I were alive, think of what we had done when I was alive. We have to move on." I stopped to cough out some blood. "And Jessie?" I said, taking my final breath, "Sorry I didn't say this earlier. But I love you. Please don't forget about me." After saying this, my vision turned dark and I lost consciousness as Death claimed me.

Third POV
If Jessie's heart hadn't been broken enough, it shattered into a million pieces. She fell onto her knees, and wept to her lover, who she would now just see through pictures, who she couldn't spend the rest of her life with, who she couldn't return the affection, as the other brawlers looked helplessly at her.

Pam's POV
It has been two years since the day (Y/n) passed, and Brawl Town had changed, since then. Brawl Town has lost some of its joy, especially in the first week. It seemed that joy had been replaced with sorrow and no one even smiled. But we then remembered what (Y/n) said- move on. We have all moved on, well almost all of us. I still haven't forgiven myself for not checking hard enough, and Jessie still hasn't entirely gotten over his death. On the bright side, Colt finally married Shelly, and they're expecting a baby! I've now retired from being a brawler, and am now a full-time engineer and expecting grandmother. None of us have forgotten (Y/n), but we remember him no for the sad day, but for the happy memories we had. As he always said, Move on!
