"Hey mom. Can you turn on the news?"
"I just came from work. Can't you-"
"Just do it please?!"
"Alright"
I sat down with my snacks and my eyes were peeled on the television screen."Hello everyone." The news reporter said. "Today we have some devastating news to share with you all. Recently, a 15 year old girl has committed suicide. She hung herself in her own room while her parents were out partying. But at the kitchen counter, was a note. Saying:
"Hi mom and dad. If you see this note, you're too late. I mean, when were you ever early? You know, I've been waiting to hear one of you say if I'm alright. Because lately I haven't. Or is it because you're always busy and partying? Because you're always late to show up at my performances. You're always late to know when I am okay or not. I CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP GODDAMIT! NONE OF YOU COME TO TUCK ME IN ANYMORE! YES I KNOW I AM A TEENAGER, BUT ONLY ONE GOOD NIGHT IS WHAT I WANT. But you're late. You're not going to have anyone to call you mom or dad. Or get a hug from a loved child. Or being able to send me off with my friends. Or being able to be grandparents. But I guess that's alright with you. Because you didn't give a fuck about me."
"Those harsh words really did upset the parents and now feel regretful." The news reporter continued. "So please, the parents that are watching this, please show your kids all the love that you can."
And then the television screen turned black
"Mom, why did you tur-" "Is that what you wanted to see? To hear a harsh, yet a sad note?"
"Mom, I only wanted to see it if it's true. I've been hearing all about it at school."
My mom sighs. "You know, if you ever feel sad, talk to me. That's why I am here. I don't want you to feel like that poor girl."
"Mom, of course I would tell you anything. You would be the first person. There is nothing to worry about. Trust me." I grabbed her hand and kissed it. I gave her a relaxing smile and she knew, that I was telling the truth.
But when I said that, that she should trust me, would she really do that?
"Alright mom. I'm heading to school now." I continued. "Alright. Be careful." And she kissed me back.
I grabbed my backpack and headed out.
Would any parent believe what their child say? When they say "I'm fine" but they're always hurt. I mean, I guess that's what I just did....

Yes, I apologize for making the first chapter short, but I just wanted to show you all a little bit of how the book is going to be. But anyways, I hope you all are enjoying your day....
