I walked silently down the sidewalk. Fireflies flashed in the distance, sparkling in the evening air. I reached into the small cardboard container I was holding, and pulled out a fry. I popped it into my mouth, some salt remained on my fingers. The salty fried goodness filled my mouth, and presented a soft crunch as I chewed. As I reached for another, the small red box flew from my grasp and I fell forward. I had tripped on a small pebble. Luckily, I brought my food forward and awkwardly caught myself. My fries, however, were not so lucky. They landed in a muddy puddle, where they grew soggy within seconds. They were ruined. Grief ripped through my body and a single tear rolled down my cheek.
