The Chase That Lead Him To Me

The lights went down and the boys disappeared from the stage. The cheering died down and the normal stadium lights turned on. We all took a deep breath and let out the last of our squeals. The arena started to empty and we packed up our things ready to leave as well. I thought about the past hour of my life. The music, the screaming and the boys. It was amazing! They had even dedicated a song to us!!

‘That was the best concert of my life!’ Madi squealed.

‘I know!’ Courteney said excitedly. Charlie just nodded in agreement.

‘Are you guys as tired of screaming as I am?’ I said

Charlie nodded again.

‘You okay Charlie?’ I said.                              

She tapped her throat.

‘Lost your voice?’

She shook her head.

‘I can talk it just hurts.’ She croaked and then coughed a laugh.

Madi slung her arm around her shoulder.

‘Aw my poor baby.’ She stroked her cheek and Charlie smiled.

I tossed Charlie my water bottle and she gave me a grateful smiled.

We all laughed. There were only a handful of fans still in the arena now. We were about to head out when a tall dark figure came up behind us. We turned and saw Paul standing behind us.

‘Hi girls.’ He greeted us.

‘Hey’ I said.

‘Hi’ Courteney said.

‘Hey Paul’ Madi said.

Charlie just waved.

‘Could you please come with me please?’ He turned and walked away.

We followed him backstage and into a dark tunnel, he stopped at the entrance.

‘Off you go.’ He gestured towards the dark tunnel.

I looked at all the girls and they nodded eagerly so I turned and walked through the tunnel which led us all to a bright room. Inside that bright room were five sleepy boys.

Zayn was almost asleep on the couch grasping a bottle of water. Niall was putting his guitar back in its case. Louis and Harry were chatting to each other taking constant sips of water. And Liam was chatting with another body guard. They hadn’t seen us yet as we were standing just outside the door.

‘Well don’t they all seem like the life of the party?’ Madi said sarcastically.

‘We should walk in there singing one of their songs.’ Charlie whispered.

‘Someone’s voice is back.’ I laughed.

‘Still hurts.’ She shrugged.

‘I like that idea. Go in singing Live While We’re Young or something.’ Courteney said.

We all nodded.

‘From the chorus?’ I asked and the girls nodded.

 ‘LET’S GO CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY TILL WE SEE THE SUN! I KNOW WE ONLY MET BUT LET’S PRETEND IT’S LOVE! AND NEVER NEVER NEVER STOP FOR ANYONE. TONIGHT LET’S GET SOME! AND LIVE WHILE WE’RE YOUNG!’ We jumped around while singing. The boys all turned to see what the racket was and then smiled when they saw it was just us. We all burst out laughing.

‘Very nice ladies.’ Harry cheered and gave us all a hug.

‘We know’ Madi said pretending to dust something of her shoulder. That earned a smile from the boys.
