Without failing, who are we?
Without love can we be?
Life’s trials confound us,
Death awaiting, we are conscious.
Life is short, corrupt,
Death is long, abrupt.
Shortness of life, we perceive
Length of death, we deceive.
Ignoring, ignorance, no excuses
Knowing, believing, more elusive.
Faith, hope, required,
Sin, lust, desired.
Are we true, have we faith?
Do we trust in the grace?
Doubt is born when we reject,
Faith is dead when we expect.
Looking for proof that you exist,
Search for a sign. We persist.
The truth hidden, does exist,
The false revealed will desist.
Open the heart, the soul, the mind,
Shut out the doubt of mankind.
Muslim, Christian, Jew and Sikh,
Live together, jowl by cheek.
