Aham Brahmasami
Aham Brahmasami
Aham Brahmasami
Sartaj stared in white, his mind blank as Batya's maundering voice rang in his ears causing a piercing in his brain. And suddenly shades were thrown- of orange and red, black and grey. But Batya's face remained clear, devoid of any shade that touched her skin getting lost into nothing.
"Tatascanu-dinam Dharma Satyam Shaucham kshama Daya
Kalena Balina Rajana Nanksyata Ayur Balam Smritih
Lord Krishna said that dharma, truth, tolerance, mercy, life, physical strength and memory will diminish day by day and eventually mark an end to life" Batya walked closer to Sartaj as he tried to focus, "Guruji was an embodiment of Lord Vishnu. He knew what was going to happen Sartaj. Bringing Satyuga back is the only option we have. The world needs to be set free"Sartaj shuddered coming back to reality. He stared at the screen as the time ran and the checks of the pattern screen increased his heartbeat. Batya's words kept ringing in his ears paralysing him for the moment.
"Kya soch rahe ho Sardar Ji ?" Sartaj turned his head to look at Gaitonde as he sat there looking at him with numbing intensity, his eyes white, blood dripping from his head "Apun ne bola tha aapko gochi nahi lene ko, dimaag ka bhosda ho jata hai" Sartaj winced, his vision blurring as he tried to focus. Numbing silence followed for few seconds like an element of nature as Gaitonde stared at the screen pointedly and then looked up at him, "Madarchod tha apun ka teesra baap, Mumbai khatam karna chahta tha. Bachalo Sardarji, Bachalo apne sheher ko!"
Sartaj blinked as if coming back to his senses and his eyes darted from the pattern on the book to the screen. As the time ran and Mumbai took a step closer towards the end, Sartaj started drawing the pattern his father made.
With absolutely blank mind and his heart thumping loud in his chest, he closed his eyes, sliding his finger to join the last dot and muttered slowly, "Aham Brahmasami"
The system beeped causing him to gulp but Sartaj didn't dare to open his eyes. With consternation gripping him whole, the veins of his neck popped as a drop of sweat trickled down the side of his head.
When after seconds nothing happened, he opened his eyes, his eyes softening with absolute vulnerability as he read the notification of Mission failed on the screen.
The feeling of relief captured him whole and he leaned back sighing in repose and murmured under his breath, "Duniyaa ko aag lagake, Gaitonde Mumbai bacha gaya"
