It's been a couple months since Shikadai and Inojin got back together. Life had gotten back to how it was before with their old clique coming back in its former glory. It seemed everything was back to normal. Everything was.. good again. There was of course underlining beef between most of the boys and the black haired boy for what he had done to their artistic friend. Though they had to put those aside to make everything go smooth in the twos renewed relationship as hard as it may have been to do such a thing.
None of the boys had talked to Chou Chou, simply putting her out of mind. Shikadai of course, feeling guilty for breaking Inojin's heart, being extra careful not to be tempted to go back to his old, doggish ways.

It was a day like any other. The boys were doing what they usually do, sit around Boruto's living room watching him play some video games and adding their own commentary and tips along the way. Shikadai was sat besides his platinum blonde boyfriend, Iwabe next to the black haired boy with Denki on his lap, laying back on his chest, and Mitsuki sitting on the arm of the couch, something his father would've reprimanded him for if he was home to see it. As usual though, the boys were being watched by the caregiver Hinata Hyuga, today accompanied by her daughter Himawari. The sweet girl being younger than all the boys.
"HEY BIG BROTHERS!!!"
The young girl yelled, jumping onto the couch and sitting next to Inojin. Everyone said their hellos and went back to paying attention to what Boruto was doing. Boruto was playing Heavy Rain, a game he had got from his classmate for ten bucks, and was testing it out. The blonde quickly realizing why it was so cheap.
"Bro! This game controls like a-"
Quickly stopping his sentence when he remembered that his caretaker's child was still on the couch behind him. The boys chuckled causing Iwabe to let out a loud snort, sending chills up his small boyfriend's spine.
"Cute snort!"
Himawari repeated as she hopped up and down on the couch shaking everyone on it. This was one of the things that the small sunflower loving girl would do when she got excited. The boys hated it and would always try to tell her to stop, but were never successful in their convincing. At one point just deciding to let her do what she wants.
Stop.
Simple words really, yet words the girl didn't understand. Himawari never grew up with a strong family presence. Her father leaving her mother when she was just born and her mother being so caring and easy on her, she was spoiled rotten. She was never told to stop her negative behaviours, which was much different from how all of the boys were raised.
They all tried to be Fathers of sorts to her, to give her what she deserved to grow up with.
"HIMAWARI STOP IT!"
Everything fell silent and Iwabe's booming, intimidating voice echoed in the living room. The young girl looked down, eyes glassy.
She was going to cry.
The boys scrambled to avoid this, as the punishment that would follow would be pain filled to say to least. They ran to hug her and rub her head, but the small girl's whimpers continued. The blonde haired boy in panic mode told Himawari,
"If you don't cry, you can date Inojin for a day!"
Instantly, the girl smiled and clapped excitedly, sliding over to hold Inojin's hand. The platinum blonde looked over staring dagger into Boruto's souls, as he let Himawari hold his hand for the time being. The rest of the boys just shrugged it off since they wouldn't get punished by Hinata.
The rest of the night was spent playing games and the platinum blonde muttering with disdain for the situation he was thrust into.
