Caleb's POV
Well, this is a mess. I can't believe Kevin did that. I mean, they were together for two years. They were perfect for each other. I never thought Kevin would be the reason why Gwen would be like this. Look at her, all crumpled up and crying. She doesn't deserve to feel this way, to be in this situation. I know I should do something, anything. She's my bestfriend. I can't let her stay this way. She was always the one cheering me up. Through all the girls and trouble I've encountered, she was there.
"Marry me." I blurt out.
Shit, what did I just say?! She stops shivering and looks at me.
"Are you fucking joking with me right now, Caleb?" she asked, annoyed.
"No. I am serious. Marry me."
"No. FUCK NO. You're my bestfriend. I can't marry you." She was getting really pissed now. But I really don't want to marry her, too. Stupid mouth saying stupid things. Unless...
"Don't get mad, Gwen. Just hear me out, okay?" I asked her, with conviction.

Gwen's POV
We were at Caleb's room. I was sitting on his bed, hugging tightly my pillow. He was sitting near his desk. He has told me his plan. I think it's brilliant. But we need his parents help and that's a problem. Plus, I'll be their burden. I hate being a burden to anyone. But it's so ideal. I like it, a lot.
"So, Gwen, what do you think?" he asked, quietly. He was looking at me straight in the eye. I was just staring bakc. If I say yes, there's no going back.
"Yeah, I'll do it."

We were at Caleb's living room. We were sitting at the couch together. His parents were at the opposite couch. Have I ever told you that they were rich? Well, they're mega-rich. Their house basically have two floors but Caleb's upstairs bedroom has another staircase in it, which leads to another floor. They have a swimming pool and a small basketball court in their backyard. The gang usually hangs out there. Okay okay, veering off topic. We were at the living room. I am nervous as hell again. Caleb holds my hand in his and eeww, his palms were sweaty. But I don't complain. He was doing me a really huge favor. A favor that entails to giving sacrifices. And I am really thankful for that.
"Gwen's pregnant." I hear Caleb say.
I see his mom's hand cover her mouth and look at me pitifully. His dad wraps his arms around her and looks at me also.
"And? Is it yours?" Caleb's dad asked him.
"No, it's Kevin's. They just broke up today." Hearing that makes me tear up again. I mean, it hurts dammit. "I asked Gwen to marry me and she said yes."
His dad and mom looked at him as if he had gone crazy. I did too, at first. I mean, who in their right mind would marry an eighteen year old pregnant girl whose baby isn't even yours? But then, Caleb continues.
"We didn't actually say we were getting married. We just want everybody else to think that I am the father of this child and that we are married. Mom, Dad, you know Gwen wouldn't be welcome in their house anymore. I mean, her family would abandon her. I can't just turn an eye from her. She's my best friend. We could fake our marraige and she could live with us here. " Caleb said.
"But, Caleb, Kevin has a right to know." his dad replied.
"I... I can't tell him, Uncle. Maybe I'm just selfish like that, but he wasn't happy with me anymore. If I tell him now, he'll do the right thing and marry me. And all three of us would be miserable our whole lives. I know that what I'm asking of you is a lot, but Caleb's giving me a choice; a choice that I can't just ignore. If we continue this, I know that a lot of people would think of me badly, but I'm willing to do it. For Kevin. For my baby." I said, softly.
"And I am willing to be the baby's father, Dad. We have enough space here for the both of them and I'm asking you a favor. This is just until we graduate. I'll pay you back every cent when I have a job. Just please, support us." Caleb adds.
"I... yeah, son, sure." his dad obliges. Well, that was easier than expected.
"One more thing, only the four of us will know the truth... even just for a while." Caleb further says.
And that was that. We discuss further details and after a few weeks, I'll officially be Caleb's "wife."
