Saaho is a film which brings back Prabhas after his hugely successful movie ' Bahubali '. The film begins with signature wide - angles of massive structures and grim looking men. Saaho's leading man Prabhas enters the screen with a loud , high voltage , high octane fight scene. The fight sequence has ostriches walking on the ground floor , a python on first and a black panther. The top floor is a gym full of hulk , like body builders. Truly incredible.
Shradha Kapoor looks glamarous but her character is poorly sketched. Prabhas's character in Saaho is a far stretch. Introduced as a strong personality , Shradha Kapoor soon becomes a damsel in distress who often needs to be helped rather than she saving the world from gangsters.
The chemistry between the lead pairs is missing. Among all the villains Chunkey Pandey as Devraj stands out with a very convincing portrayal of his evil character. The two loyal kingpins - Roy ( Jackie Shroff) and Devraj ( Chunkey Pandey) - and their dozen odd cronies who shift loyalties faster than Prabhas zooms on his motorbike. The film's second half picks pace but is merred by a weak narrative that requires constant suspension of disbelief. The car chase on Mumbai sea link and the bike action is top class. The VFX also deserves appreciation. Music is strictly okey dokey save for the' Psycho Saiyaan ' song which is zanily shot.
Overall ' Saaho ' a 350 crore movie attempts at being a potboiler that fires in all directions to entertain the audience. There are so many twists and turns that it leaves you more exhausted than excited.
