Vince's POV

Instead of going to the coffee shop I told Jessica we'd go to, I turned my car around and drove the other way. I could feel my fists clenching by themselves. I could hear my own breath going in and out of my mouth. What if I won't make it? But what's the point of me doing this anyway?

I stopped driving and sighed as I closed my eyes. "Here we are again, Vince. Stop being a coward for Irina's sake!" I looked at her and I couldn't help it but cry. She placed her right hand on my back and sighed, "Everything will be okay, I know it will be. Just believe."

I started the engine and started driving. Jessica is right, everything will be okay. And like what Ms. Hailey had said, "Everything will be okay in the end, if it's not okay, then it's not the end." I higher up my engine until I reached John Macasious. She exited my car and I waved goodbye. Jessica said she has to fix the important things for tomorrow's newspaper release.

Los Angeles Airport: 15 miles (Drive Up North)

I kept driving until I reached the freeway. This is my last and only shot. I want to make it. I have to make it. I need to make it. I gotta make it. If I won't, I might die. I might not want to live anymore.

As I'm driving, I feel tears fall out of my eyes.

Irina, please wait for me. I'm almost there. You'll be happy again, and I promise, it won't be temporarily, it will be permanently. I would never leave your side again, I would never hurt you again. I hope you can still believe in me.

I could barely feel my car touching the road as I moved to the other side of the road when a truck drove next to me. I looked at the driver. What the--? He looks drunk! I tried to drive a little faster beyond my point to get in front of the truck but I can't, too many cars on the road are blocking my way.

I honked my car to signal them to get out of the freaking way but they seem to ignore even if I do it many times. I looked to my left and saw a little space so I turned my car to the left until my phone buzzed.

~Jessica Shin

Where are you? Their flight is at 7 p.m. It's 6:45! Hurry up! I just called her and she said they're just waiting on the waiting area. They had their passports checked already. Hurry! Please Vince!

I closed my eyes and opened them again to re-read my text. I sighed and looked up. Lights covered my direction which made everything bright, until...

Jessica's POV

"Umm, Michael?" I said as I read the 5th article sent. Michael didn't look up as he said, "Yes honey?"

"Can you please call Janet? I told her to revise this already.. but I don't think she did what I asked her to do," he finally looked up and nodded. He put the papers he was reading on my desk and was about to leave when my phone started to vibrate.

Hello? Who's this? I looked at Michael and he looked at me while walking back towards me. I pressed the loud speaker button.

Hello, is this Jessica Maldrine F --

Yes, this is Jessica Shin. What's this about?

I could hear the person breathing heavily from the other line. I could tell it's a guy because of his low voice. We don't want to shock you Ms. Shin, however..
