Lucy POV

Matt was running as hard as he could threw the woods as a vampire chased him. I wasn't far behind in case the vampire decided to get the best of him. The plan was to let Jeremy kill the vampire but if that didn't work I would have to step in.

Matt being the idiot he is thought hiding behind a tree would be able to hide himself from a vampire.

Matt looked from behind the tree only to be attacked by the vampire. I was nervous and stood close by. Jeremy came close and shot the vampire with a cross bow killing the vampire.

I walked over to the two of them. "You okay?" I asked Matt.

He nodded holding his hand up to his neck.

"Here." I said biting into my wrist. He put his mouth on my wrist and started to drink.

"Enough." I said pulling my wrist back.

Matt wiped his mouth. "Thanks Luc."

"Come on Klaus and Damon want us." Jeremy said.

"No way. I'm not doing this." Jeremy said to Nik.

"What makes you think you have a choice?" Nik asked.

"You have to kill vampires to complete the hunter's mark. Mark equals cure. You're in a bar full of almost vampires, so get your hunt on." Damon said.

I glared at Damon. "Leave him alone." I mumbled.

"Screw you. Damon. You said I wouldn't have to kill any innocent people." Jeremy snapped.

"Jeremy, they're not people." Damon said back.

"Enough! Have at it, or else." Nik threatened Jeremy.

"I don't take orders from you, dick. Hunters can't be compelled." Jeremy said.

Nik began to laugh and walked up to Jeremy. "You're right. I can't compel you. But if your conscience is getting in the way, then allow me to make this easy for you. Because, I can compel them."

I looked at the vampires in transition. Some of them were feeding on humans.

"I'm gonna give you a two-minute head start. Then I'm gonna send every vampire in here after you. You kill them, or they kill your friend...Matt." Nik said.

"Wait a second!" Matt yelled.

"No, no. You turn them, he kills them. That was the deal, Nik." I said.

"I'm taking artistic license." Nik said to me.

"You know he can't take them all on at the same time." I said to him getting angry.

With you as his coach, he'll be fine. It's Matt I'm worried about." Nik said.

"Ah...Jeremy, go get the weapons out of the car. I'll be right behind you. Damon said. "Both of you." He said looking at Matt.

"If I hear an engine start, I'll kill Matt myself!" Nik yelled at me.

I looked at the new vampires most of the transitioning vampires have been fed blood and are standing.

"If Matt or Jeremy gets hurt I will never forgive you." I said leaving Nik standing in the bar by himself.
