Only Hope...

Chapter 1: Mary-Jane❤

"You worthless piece of shit!" My father screams as he kicks me in the stomach repeatedly.

"I don't know why the fuck I keep you around, all you do is fuck things up you stupid bitch!" He shouts as he continues to kick me, and slap me.

"Daddy please stop I promise to be good." I whimper but he just ignores me enjoying that I am in pain.

Ten minutes pass and he just continues to beat me until he finally stops and is satisfied that I'm all battered and torn up. I guess you can say I deserve this....

Oh I'm Mary Jane but I like to be called M.J. I'm 16 years old. As you could tell I live with my dad, my mom left us 4 months after she had me. One night she just upped and left leaving me and my dad behind. My dad blames me, saying if I wasn't born he'd still have his wife....

I believe him, maybe it is my fault my mom left, maybe she didn't want me and I can see why.

I have a thin figure and a little underweight because my dad refuses to give me money to eat lunch at school and rarely gives me his left overs from dinner which I make, and me getting his left overs is rare.

I have long brown hair and sad, lifeless brown eyes. Nothing about me is special. My dad tells me maybe if I was prettier he wouldn't beat me so bad.

I finally get the strength to get up slowly inhaling and exhaling calmly so I don't yelp out loud, and make my way upstairs to my room. Once I'm in my room I walk to my bathroom that's connected to my bedroom and pull off my shirt to examine my body.

I can see bruises forming knowing i'll have to wear a sweater to school tomorrow to cover them. I look at my eyes and see I have a black eye forming, I examine the rest of my face and see a cut on my cheek from my dads ring when he slapped me and I have a busted lip.

I try not to cry as I start to see how pathetic I look. I push the tears away as I run me a nice soothing luke warm shower. After I finish showering I hop in bed and lay down praying dad wouldn't come beat while I sleep, and that no one at school notices my bruises tomorrow.
