Sitting In the Corner

You never came when I needed you the most,

when fear crammed my mind and heart.

I waited for you in the thunderous rain,

in the dark nights, the bright days.

You exploited me for your own good,

used me as if I were your pawn.

I was foolish to trust you with all my heart,

I should never have told you my secrets, my wishes.

You claimed to be my best friend,

my sister, my supporter.

But, now I know the truth,

 Know who you really are.

You may feel guilty or just pretend not to care.

But, deep in your heart you know it was wrong.

I will not fight nor am I angry, for war is never the answer.

If you ever need me, I will be sitting in the corner.
