Cramp.
A short breath hissed through my teeth as I stretched and kneaded the muscles in my leg. The result of having to awkwardly curl up in the crook of a tree to sleep. Approximately four hours of it, judging by the moon. I glanced at my watch but there was neither light enough to see by nor to light up the currently-not-glowing hands. I stubbornly scowled at the smaller visible half of the moon as though that will make it brighter, before sending a quick apology to Diana and reiterating my thanks for the rabbit I caught yesterday. Or, earlier today. Another scowl.
Growls made me sigh. Wolves, again. Lupa, didn't like me in her territory. Well, I don't like being in your territory, I felt like snarkily saying, but, self-preservation prevented me. Damn intelligence.
"Lupa."
Lupa."Graecus."
Greek."Ad quam rem do tibi honorem me a facie tua?"
For what purpose do you honour me with your presence?
Sarcasm intended."Vos have been exercendo."
You have been practicing."Gratias agimus tibi. Ego experiri."
Thank you. I try.
More like broke into a library and read it. Still took effort."Ego non dico vobis in melius."
I did not say you have improved."Sed vos animadverto fui exercendo."
Yet, you noticed I've been practicing.
Me: 1, Lupa: 0"Quid tibi hic?"
Why are you here?Oh? So we've learnt to ask have we? Last time you just chased me out. Maybe Perseus taught you some manners. Or maybe it's 'cause wolves can't climb trees, hence, why I'm sleeping in one... Or was.
"Ego dormiebat."
I was sleeping."Et expergefactus sum vobis. Quaestionem recte, Greacus."
And I woke you. Answer the question properly, Greek."Ego cucurrit ex aliqua monstra et nisus sursum non hic. Opus requiem, et haec nemora sunt, tutior est."
I ran away from some monsters and ended up here. I needed rest, and these forests are safer then most."Habes requievit. Relinquere."
You have rested. Leave.Well that was blunt. Rude. Not like I didn't expect it though. I did sleep in a tree for a reason.
"Scilicet. Considera me abiit."
Of course. Consider me gone.I slid down the tree and started walking in the direction I knew the edge of the forest to be. Possibly suicidal, I decided to pause and turn around.
Sorry brain. I've already listened to you once today.
"Non ego adepto an praesidio?" I asked innocently, barely resisting the urge to smirk and waggle my eyebrows.
Don't I get an escort?"Ex velocitate currere."
Depends how fast you run.Yep, definitely suicidal.
Lupa snapped her teeth in my direction, and her pack lifted their muzzles to the moon.
I ran.
I knew from experience, when their howl stopped they would start their hunt. And I did not want to be their prey.

I will be putting all A/N at the end because I like the way it flows. And comments about grammar and spelling errors (Australian not American) are welcome. Just check if someone has already mentioned it first. I may delete your comment after fixing it. Thanks. :)
