Their relationship reach two years now and it was indeed a good and happy relationship,being with Marco, Laura learned to love him throughout those years kasi ito yung tipo ng lalaking aalagaan at sobrang sarap magmahal he knows how deal with her angst now sobrang wala na siyang mahihiling pa she had a good career and a supportive boyfriend so in this state of her life she was contended until one day Laura received a call from his boss assigning her to be the news anchor sa davao coz yung news anchor dun is nagretire na and damn it was a good break for her after three years of being a field reporter ma popromote na siya bilang isang news anchor she was supposedly be happy but why she felt scared this time upon remembering the kidnap insident that happened to her almost three years ago malayo naman ang davao sa tawi-tawi but still both in mindanao. Ayaw na niyang mangyari pa ulit ang insident na yun. So she was in the middle of accepting the promotion or rejecting it for the reason na ayaw na niyang balikan ung dati na muntik nang magpahamak sa kanya noon.
She asked Marco about it and tell him everything that had happened before.
"Wow babe,congrats that was a good promotion you should go and accept it you know bihira lang mangyari ang magandang opportunities na ganyan so grab it. Saad ni Marco agreeing to the promotion and so she thought of accepting it and fly to Davao City the next day. Bago pa siya lumipad pa Davao sinulit na nila ni Marco ang quality time together.
"So babe you take care there ok. Marco uttered nung hinatid na siya nito sa kanilang bahay.
"Thanks babe of course I will. She answered smiling back to him then he kissed her slightly on her cheek. Ganun ka gentleman si Marco enough na ditong hagkan siya sa pisngi o sa noo he never took advantage of her kaya naman lalo niya itong nagustuhan.
Pagbaba niya ng sasakyan dumiretso na agad siya sa kanyang silid at nag empake na ng mga gamit na dadalhin niya sa Davao.
Nakarating na siya sa Davao at sinalubong siya sa Airport ng isa nilang staff dun. The next thing is pumunta muna sila sa station para makilala ang mga staff dun before siya ihahatid sa staff house.
"So everyone this miss Laura from Pampanga, she was a field reporter in our local t.v network that based on pampanga and now been promoted to be our new news anchor, so guys let us welcome her.. saad ng chief executive ng davao station nila. And they all welcome her with smiles and greetings,after nga ng introduction niya dinala na siya sa staff house. Kinabukasan mag uumpisa na siya agad so she prepared herself for adjustment again.
Medyo naging hirap siya to adjust because she think sa salita nila so they require her to learned bisaya words and so she did kahit mahirap pinag aralan niya para sa career niya.
She was now on her 3rd month in the province and eventually already cope with almost everything naging comportable na siya sa lahat so being the anchor she should be always presentable.
On that night habang nakasalang siya sa ere may sumenyas sa kanya after break daw may iinterviewhin siyang mga guess from Philippine Army and so she spilled and announce it on television na nay makakasama siya after ng break.
And so pinapasok na sa studio ang mga guest nila and to her shocked the other guy is so much familiar to her and yes hindi siya pwedeng magkamali siya nga yun
It was Nico Salazar the guy who saved her life many times during their kidnap insident three years ago. And goddamn he never changed a bit except sa mas naging lean at mas gumwapo ito ngayon, ow wait gwapo so ibig sabihin dati pa siyang naggwapuhan dito? Agad niyang pinalis ang naisip and when finally sinabi sa kanya na kaya naroon ang mga ito is too give awareness to the people para wag mag panic kaugnay nga ng balitang nasa lungsod na naman ang mga kawatan.
Nico recognize her.
"Laura? Hi its you. Its so nice to see you here again.. saad nitong bahagya pang ngumiti sa kanya at bongga mas lalo tuloy itong gumagwapo and yes she admits na noon nagkaroon talaga siya ng merely attraction for him at ang tagal din niya noon naka move on dito.
"Yah, nice to see you too. She answered na bahagyang ngumiti dito eksakto naman bumalik na siya sa ere and she begun her introduction sa mga ito. And Nico and his companion gives cautious warnings to the people in the province for their awareness. After that nag commercial break ulit at nagpaalam na ang mga ito.
"Laura, we have to go now maybe we just have to hang out sometines. Like you know i think kailangan kong bumawi noon kasi I haven't got the chance to say goodbye to you. Nico said to her na nakapagpabigla sa kanya.
"Ha? No its ok I understand you have a job then and you know I understood that. She answered smiling back to him.
After that night nung nakahiga na siya biglang sumagi sa isip niya si Nico it was odd kasi akala niya na overcome na niya ito, noon kasing magkahiwalay sila hindi na nawala ito sa isip niya ewan ba pero meron itong something that makes her think of him always. Well kung ikokompara kay Marco mas masculine si Nico dito hes a cowboy feeling niya she was always safe pag kasama niya ito ruggedly handsome ika nga.
Pinalis niya ang kung anong naisip at natulog na lang.
After a few days she was just shocked when she see Nico outside their station he was standing beside a black sport car nakasandig ito doon at nakahalukipkip and when he sees her he immediately smile at lumapit ito sa kanya.
"Hi, Laura ummm yeah I came here to invite you out for dinner. He asked while looking at her intently para ba siyang matutunaw sa titig nito. She was still in shocked, seryoso talaga ito sa sinabi nito noon sa station.
"Umm hi,Nico. Look you dont really have to treat me out. Its ok really wala na sakin yun ang tagal na nun. She said na natatawa pa but deep inside her ang lakas ng kabog ng dibdib niya.
"But I want to treat you out for dinner tonight and I wont take no for an answer. You know we have so many things to talk with. Saad nito na bahagya pang lumapit sabay lahad sa kamay nito sa kanya. And since parang na corner na siya dito pumayag na lang din siya. At tumuloy na nga sila sa isang class na restaurant sa davao awkward ang nararamdaman niya pero di siya nagpahalata dito.
"So how are you now? Nico asked first.
"Im ok.. how about you? Parang umangat na ang posisyon mo ah. Balik tanong niya dito saka nagpatuloy sa pagkain.
"Well eto natapos ko na ang training ko sa SAF and have been promoted. Tulad mo I can see that you've got a good career now. Tugon nitong nakangiti sa kanya.
"Well yeah, thank god and also got a good boyfriend.
