Chapter 17

Grayson's POV
I wake up and see Amber next to me. I check the time and it's 4:30. Ambers got it rough. She had to deal with me and E bullying her for years. Now she's got Hayes problems. I wish I can just take away all the pain and stress she has.

I turn to her and start to rub her back. I can tell she likes it because she loosens her body and just melts. It could be like this all the time if she was with me. She'd never feel alone or the way Hayes made her feel today.

I get up and walk downstairs for some water. I can't go back to sleep to I might as well watch tv. I turn it on and Chopped is on so obviously I'm going to watch it. I watch about 4 episodes before I drift off again.

Ambers POV
I wake up for a bad dream, what else is new. I look and see that Gray isn't here. I get up and use the bathroom. I walk back into the room and see he still isn't there. I know I can't go back to sleep alone, especially after my nightmares I have. I decide to walk to Ethan's room.

I walk in and see him sleeping. He's so peaceful. I wish I was that peaceful. God he's so cute, he looks so good all the time effortlessly. I walk over and tap him.

"Yea, I'm up." He says after a minute.
"Ethan?" I say.
"Oh Amber, hey. You okay? What's wrong?" He asks
"I had a nightmare and Gray is gone and I can't go back to sleepy after nightmares when I'm alone. So i was hoping that maybe I can sleep with you?" I say
"Why the hell is Gray gone? I told him to take care and protect you tonight and he does the opposite." He says angry
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to cause something." I say looking down.
"No it's okay Amber. It's not you're fault, it's his. Just come get in bed with me okay. I won't leave you. I'll be right here." He says in his raspy voice, which may I say is very attractive.
"Thanks Eth, goodnight" I say hugging him.
"Goodnight beautiful" he says and kisses me on the cheek.

Ethan's POV
I give him one job and he messes it up. This is Amber we are talking about. He can't discard her in the middle of the night. It's whatever, I've got her now. I'll deal with him tomorrow. I start to play with her hair and she smiles a little. Damn, she's gorgeous. I give her a kiss on the head a fall back to sleep.

~morning time~

I wake up and see Amber's still a sleep. I go down stairs to get her some orange juice and toast. I see Gray passed out on the couch. He left Amber for tv? Are you kidding me? I roll my eyes and go back upstairs. When I go back up there I see amber waking up.

"Good morning" I say to her
"Morning" She smiles.
"I've made you breakfast, and you're eating all of it. I saw how much you ate a dinner last night and that's not okay." I say to her. She cant go backwards.
"I just wasn't hungry last night but I am now. Pass me the food." She laughs.

After we get done eating she goes to use the bathroom. I wait about 15 minutes and she still hasn't came out. Maybe I should check on her. I go to the door and knock twice.

"Amber you okay?" I ask I hear coughing.
"Umm yea I'm fine. I'll be out in a minute."
I guess she's just taking long. She walks out and is pale. Oh god, tell me she wasn't throwing up her food on purpose. Maybe she wasn't. I'll wait till she eats again to see.

"So Eth, what do you want to do."
"We could go to the park, go for a walk, or we could just chill inside today." I say.
"Ooh, lets have a movie day." She says
"Sure, want to wake up Gray for it?" I ask
She sits there and thinks for a second. She stares at the window and finally says something,
"No we shouldn't wake him. It can be just you and me." She smiles.
"Sounds like a plan to me. How about you pick the movie and I'll get snacks. Sound good?" I say
"Sounds perfect!" She gets up and turns Netflix on. I walk downstairs to get the snacks. This could bring me even closer to her. Maybe she'll see how she should be treated by a guy and dump what's his face.
