Prompt: "Don't touch him!"
Bludheaven
1:23 p.mNightwing was in the middle of patrol when it happened. He was on the tallest building looking out over the city. The night was relatively peaceful and there wasn't much big time crime occurring.
He was about to move to a different sector of the city, but something told him to hang out a little bit longer. Mostly it was his gut, which had a record of always being right.
In the moment something in the shadows caught his eye. It was a quick movement. Someone was trying to get away. Quickly, Nightwing went off to chase the person. What he wasn't expecting was Tarantula.
"Long time no see bae. Looks like I was caught red handed. Poor little old me." She taunted him.
The moment he laid eyes on her all the memories of the long forgotten night started to crept back. She had taken advantage of him and he thought he could trust her.
"What are you doing here? Weren't you in prison?" He responded.
"What can I say? I can easily manipulate my way out for the right price." She was slowly advancing on him.
Each step forward for her was a step back for Nightwing. It wasn't until he was at the edge when it occurred to him what he was doing.
Luckily for the avain a certain speedster was on his way. He was finishing something with the League when the distress signal from Nightwing called. It was rare that the bird even pushed it. So when he did, it was nerve wracking for the one responding to it. Batman would've gone, but something told him that his son's boyfriend would be the better option for the situation that was going on.
Quickly making his way through the city Flash came upon the building in which Nightwing was on top of. Without hesitation he made his way up just in time before Nightwing would've fallen off. He noticed Tarantula was advancing on his boyfriend and quickly took action. Punching her in the fave did just the trick of knocking her out.
"Don't you ever touch him again bitch!" The furry was evident in the Flash's voice.
He briskly walked over to Nightwing making sure not to present himself as a threat. He knew that seeing her brought back the memories and he would react defensively if approached in the wrong manor.
"Nightwing? Are you alright? Can you take deep breaths for me and let them out slowly? Try not to focus on her, but focus on me." Flash instructed.
The bird slowly looked up to looked at Flash. Without second thought he strangled the speedster in a death hug. Flash could tell that Nightwing was quietly crying, but he didn't care. All he could do was hold him and make sure that Tarantula would never get out of prison. He would make it his life mission.
Soon enough Nightwing feel asleep due to the emotional exhaustion. Flash picked him up bridal style and ran back to the cave. He placed him in his room making sure that he'll be comfortable before kissing his forehead and turning off the light.
Batman was at the computer going over files when Flash reappeared.
"He's fine for right now and resting. Had a run in with Tarantula. I took care of her though."
The Dark Knight simply nodded and also made plans on visiting her in prison. He wasn't going to let her go so easily for what she's done to his eldest.
