"WALKER!" Lauren's yell rang through starkid manor. Once again Joe had thought it would be a good idea to redecorate Lauren's room with pictures of himself while Lauren was out. "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU WALKER!" She screamed again as she stormed down stairs where she found only Brian Holden, Meredith, Joey and Jaime eating Chinese food. Lauren gave a moan of frustration and was about to turn away when Brian called her back.
"If you're looking for Joe, he scarpered when he heard you yelled his name." He informed her.
"Coward..." Lauren mumbled as she took a seat next to Jaime and helped herself to some food.
"Lauren," Jaime mumbled to her.
"Yeah?"
"Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Okay..." Said Lauren slowly.
"Outside," Jaime hissed at her.
The two girls got up and headed just outside the kitchen into the hall.
"Lauren?" Jaime asked. "Have you ever- did you..."
"I don't know what your on about so I'm gonna say no!" Lauren joked.
"Have you ever thought about a friend in a different way?" Jaime said as soon as she got herself together.
"Like an enemy? Because I'm doing that right now with Walker!"
"No, I mean, as in a liking them more than just a friend way."
"Ahh, best friends? Is this about that time me and Mere went shopping without you, because I promise that-"
"No not like that, and when did you go shopping without me?"
"Oh never mind!" Lauren replied trying to patch up her mistake. "Go on with your thing."
"Have you ever wanted to be more than just friends or even best friends with someone?"
"Oh," Lauren felt herself go red, she was no good with these conversations. "Listen Jaime, I think this kind of thing is more sooted to Mered- who is it?"
"I've already told Meredith and she doesn't know what to do..."
"But her and Brian are, you know," Lauren protested.
"She said her and Brian just 'happened,'" she rolled her eyes.
"Fine I'll try but do not follow any of my advice!" Lauren warned her.
Jaime giggled. "You know I wouldn't if I tried Lo!"
They both laughed. "Okay, who is it?" Lauren asked.
Jaime took a deep breath. "Joey Richter..."
"What?" Lauren exclaimed as Jaime hushed at her. "Are you seriouse? Joey, the guy who is in there right now using a couple of redvines as chopsticks? Joey, the guy who played your BROTHER in three of our musicals?"
"He's also the guy who played my BOYFRIEND in MAMD! Anyway like you just said they're musicals, not real life!"
"You thinking about how you want to be Sally?"
"Of course," they both laughed. "Anyway," Jaime continued. "It's not any different to what you and Walker are doing!"
"What the hell are you on about?" Lauren demanded.
"You two are so flirting!"
"We are not! Even if we were it wouldn't matter because-" Lauren broke off immediately.
The front door opened, Joe Walker was trying to sneak into the house unnoticed. Jaime and Lauren stared at him, he stared back, slightly alarmed. Lauren felt herself go red again. How much had he heard? She shook her head and cleared this thought. Who cares if he heard that, Lauren thought, because I'm gonna kill him.
And with that Lauren launched herself at him, starting a wresting match. The others has come out of the kitchen to watch, but Lauren couldn't help but notice that smirk on Jamie's face.
Were they flirting? Did she want them to be more than just friends? And by that she didn't mean 'best friends!'
