Abandoned

Well,here I am in a cold orphanage bed and no matter how hard I tried to keep warm the thin paper-like cover just wasn't working . The pillows were as hard as rock so my neck aced like hell ,the mattress was flee-bitten and old with bed springs poking out and cutting me , it didn't draw blood though thankfully and I tried my best not to cry .
I wasn't trying to hold back tears because of the bed though,it was because I wanted to have a normal life like other kids ,ever since I got put in this orphanage I've been asking myself "why?,why did they abandon me" it was a question that got stuck in my head ever since,why did they abandon me? was I useless? Did I do something wrong? Why did they do it? All these questions remained unanswered,but I swore to myself that I will find the answer to all my questions one day. But for now I would wait for either someone or something to tell me what was going on . Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by ...... laughing?
Children's laughing? That was a bit unusual because I didn't see many kids come anywhere near the orphanage I got out of bed got into my not so comfortable slippers and started tip toeing to the window "tiny" called out a voice thats my nickname my actual name is Adam and he called me that because I was very small for my age."what are doing out of bed" he asked panicking
"If madam wacker finds out you're up your going to be in big trouble" he whisper yelled again that wasn't the building owners name we call her that because she likes to hit kids with her cane her actual name is madam potts who,like I said, owns the orphanage "I heard laughing again" I said "oh my gosh you're obsessed with that, just get back to bed before she-"WHOS OUT OF BED?" A loud voice bellowed. "Too late" I said race- walking back to the bed "oh ya think so" he said sarcastically getting back in bed too. Loud foot steps echoed in the halls as I tried to get comfortable I just got into a sleeping position when the door burst open showing the silhouette of madam potts.
