"Don't do this Sarah." He yells as I'm walking away. "So what I'm supposed to be happy that you don't give a damn about me Callan!" I spit taking a step back towards him. "That's not true." He says. "Right, so this whole sick prank was because you loved me?!" He huffs. "Sarah..." I give a small fake smile. "No Callan, just don't." I say heading off down the street. I must have walked for half an hour before I got back to my dorm. I shut the door falling down on my bed. "So how did it go?" I look up to see Sasha, my roommate. I look at her with tear filled eyes shaking my head. She frowns. "What happened?"

"It was all a prank Sasha. He never cared about me." She makes her way over sitting on my bed. "What?!" I sob softly. "Blake put him up to it. I guess I should have listened to you." She brushes the hair from my face. "Sarah....I didn't want to be right...." I huff. "I didn't want you to be either." She gets up heading to our fridge. "Looks like you could use some of our pick me up stash of ice cream." I sigh. "I don't think I'm up for it. I just want some rest." She sticks her tongue out making me smile a bit. "Fine more for me."

I huff. "You don't need a pick me up." She flips back down on her bed. "Not true I'm very upset that your upset." I roll my eyes rolling back over. I cry myself to sleep that night. It's funny how you think you know someone. No matter how many kisses or how many hugs you share. No matter the seconds, minutes, or hours. You never really know someone. You see the side they want you to see. They'll be the person they think they should be or who people would expect them to be. But after awhile that shell cracks and their true intentions and behavior shine through. It's blinding like the sun breaking through a hurricane. Always remember that though the light hurts and you may be blinded by its brightness, the more time you spend away from it the more you'll heal.

"Remember exams are this Tuesday so don't forget to study." The bell chimes and he smiles. "You're dismissed." The class gets up heading out of the room. I huff before Sasha lock arms with me. "Why don't we grab some lunch before we head back to study?" I fake a smile nodding softly. Though yesterday had been terrible the day started over as if nothing had happened. Three classes and a study hall, the normal routine. We head out of the building down the walk ways. "Sasha!" I stop seeing Blake and not too far behind him was Callan. "Yeah?" She says a bit short. He gives a toothy grin. "Maybe you want to grab lunch or something?" She uses her arm to pull me in some. "Sorry me and Sarah are having lunch today."

He glances to me and I'm looking at Callan. He stares back at me but can't say he looks too hurt. "She can come." He says with a light chuckle. Blake and his friends never liked me. I was just the butt of every joke and prank. "No thanks." I say sternly. Black shrugs motioning towards Sasha. "So?" She huffs. "Sorry but Sarah's my friend and she needs me thanks to you and your crappy little group of friends." He smiles. "You mean that prank?" He laughs. "Not my fault she can't hang with the cool kids. Should have seen her all over Callan. Like she had a chance. Come on." I look away from Callan for a minute to look at my feet crying.

Sasha huffs. "And who are you to tell people they aren't cool enough mister still sleeps with his baby blanket." I hear his friends laugh except Callan who is watching me as I dry my tears. Blake huffs. "That's not true. Whatever we're leaving." He says pushing past us. Callan is the last to follow walking up to me brushing my last tear away before stepping past me. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding looking back over my shoulder at him as he walks away. "Forget about them Sarah. Let's go eat." I nod softly watching him disappear before letting her drag me away. So much happened that night.....things only Callan and I knew. Maybe Blake was right. Maybe I just couldn't hang with the cool kids but Callan.....Callan had secrets.....and I used to be one of them.
