Hi! I'm Jenna. I am 14 years old and is an only child. My birthday is December 25th. Yes, I was born on Christmas day.  I am currently living with my mom, who won full custody over me after my parents went to court to get a divorce over a very stupid argument. Ever since they separate, I had a hard time dealing with their separation. They have been divorce for 7 years now and I wasn't allowed to see my dad because of my mom and her million reasons. Anyhow, because my parents separate, I was forced to be home school for security measures. Just the words HOME SCHOOL felt like I was in prison. I hated it so bad that I would intentionally sleep longer and deleted all alarms but that ended up not working again because my mom caught up on what I was doing and she grounded me. Technically I am home so I didn't see it as a problem to sleep longer. But apart of me being grounded she came to wake me up herself and made me do hard labour after my classes. And speaking of hard labor, it wasn't just cleaning the house, it was feeding the dog, cleaning his poop, and cleaning our neighbor, Ms. Matthews, yard. I had to do that for 2 months, but it turned being fun to do after all.

When it was my 11th birthday, my mom threw my first suprise party. I never expected it because I didn't know what a party would feel like so I just rolled with the program in shock and amazement at the same time. The only people who was there though was my cousins, 3 aunts, and my grandparents. Apart from that it wasn't alot of people, which was good because I never knew anyone else anyways and by anyone else I mean I never had friends. When it was time for me to open my presents (bear in mind it was two sets of gifts, a set for Christmas and a set for my birthday) I decided to save the small ones for last simply because my mom told me to. After I opened all the big gifts, which was pretty interesting, I slowly open the first small one marked 'To: Jenna' 'From: Unknown'. I ask my mom if I should still open it even if I didn’t knew who it came from. She said to go ahead and I did. It was a small blue box and inside it was a
was a locket with my baby picture and my dad next to me. As I held it tears just flowed down my eyes like a waterfall ready to flood the area. I quickly ran to my room and cried the whole afternoon. My mom came up and tried to comfort me but I didn't let her because I needed some time alone.

After the day was over, I decided to went back downstairs to help my mom clean up the house. While cleaning, I ask her if the locket was from my dad. She pause for about 2 minutes before answering when I knew her answer would have been 'yes'. She said my dad mailed it her and said to give it to me on my birthday. Apparently she got it the week before my birthday. Ever since then I still wear my locket and will forever wear it because it's the only memory I have of him despite what has happen between us.

Fast forward to now, with being homeschooled I was completely blocked out from society. The only friends I had were my dog and stuff animals. As funny as it sounds, that was my reality but for the most part they understand my pains and stuggles. They kept my company and secrets which made it easy to speak out my problems to them. They were my best friends.
