I woke up and combed my hair. I don't know how long. I combed and combed and combed. I combed my hair until it was like silk. Then I left it down for a change. I reached into the chest of female clothes and found a bandana that was red. I tied it on and felt better. I wasn't going to leave this boat until I had to. I would bite Peter every time he tried to take me off. I read for a couple hours until Starkey came down from the deck.
"Well, someone's feeling better." said a voice behind me.
"Starkey, if I ever see his ugly face again.."
"Whoa, calm down."
"You're right. I'm fine." I said, getting up from my hammock and following him up on deck. Hook was up the stairs sitting at a table and reading a map. I went up the staircase to my right. There was a bowl of fruit on his desk.
"What is it, Jimmy?" I asked.
"Where is it?" Jimmy asked.
"Where is what?"
"Where is Peter's hideout?"
"Oh. That. The tree I fell out of." I said, not caring to reveal where he lived.
"What?"
"The day of the island hike, I fell out of a tree. It's the tree. He lives under ground. There's a knot on the tree. Twist it five times to the left and twice to the right."
Hook stared at me blankly.
"What?" I said, "Did you honestly think I would you feed you false information? After talking with him... I don't care if you know where he lives."
"Oh. Ok. What happened?" Jimmy asked cautiously.
"I don't want to talk about it. There was, however, much accusing of being a pirate and yelling." I plucked an apple out of the bowl on his desk and crunched on it nonchalantly. He laughed.
"What?" I said, getting annoyed.
"The fact that you don't like Peter. The fact you talk about anything with ease. The fact your eating my apple without asking."
"Oh yeah. Can I have this apple?" He laughed again.
"No." he said. I set the apple on his desk. It had a bite taken out of it.
"Here ya go!" I said and then left. As I walked down the stairs I heard much laughing. I smiled. It felt good to make people laugh. Not just any people. People that my whole life I had heard were awful people. I learned they weren't. They just didn't have me around.
"So what's the plan for today?" I asked Smee.
"Well, according to my list, you're supposed to by pried for information on Pan's hideout,"
"I told him already." I said, it was going to be a jolly good time here.
The next morning I woke up and was feeling awfully sweaty. I looked in the chest of clothes and nothing seemed to be appropriate for someone my age. I finally settled on a sleeved v-neck shirt that was rather low cut, but I pulled it down in the back so that the plunge only went to a about an inch below my neck. The white looked better than the blue had anyway. I changed into a pair of better fitting pants that were closer to my size. I took off the bandana and braided my hair again. I liked it better that way. I went on deck later than normal because I had kitchen duty with Cookson until about noon. When I arrived I found Jimmy frozen on the top deck grasping the staircase. He was ghostly pale. There was no one else, for they were out scouting. There was a clock ticking loudly.
"Jimmy?" I asked, cautiously.
I looked over the edge of the ship and saw what he was looking at. There was a giant, scaly, mutant crocodile. And I mean mutant. Instead of having 4 legs total, it had 5 legs on either side of it. It was quite frightening. I knew this was the exact creature that had eaten his hand.
