Queen Isabella

January 20th, 1519

I stood beside Mama, Papa, and Henry in the throne room. Liam had finally arrived in London and was on his way back home. I had sent Julien out to retrieve him from the harbor.

"Vicky stop pacing around," Mama said and I shot her a glare.

"I do not have to. I have not seen my brother in over a year. I am very nervous and very excited." I said and Henry chuckled.

"He will be here any moment." He whispered as he reached for my hand. I gladly let him hold my hand before I heard the trumpets begin to play and the doors opened. In stepped Jonathan and right behind him was Liam.

"Liam!" I cried out as I broke apart from Henry and took off running towards my brothers. Liam chuckled before he held me close and sighed.

"Oh Vicky, look at you!" He said as he kissed my forehead. When we broke apart Jonathan joined the hug and we all let out a laugh.

"Finally, we are all together again," Jonathan said and I nodded before I pulled away and wiped my eyes clean.

Liam took a step back and I raised an eyebrow before I watched him bow lowly.

"Your Majesty," He said and I rolled my eyes as I motioned for him to stand up.

"Before you say hello to mama and papa, there are a couple of people I want you to meet," I said and Liam nodded as he followed me to Henry. Standing next to Henry was Mary and Lady Byron holding Edward in his arms.

"This is my husband, Henry," I said and Liam bowed his head before shaking Henry's hand.

"It is wonderful to meet you, Your Majesty," Liam said and Henry nodded.

"It is nice to finally put a face to a name. Your sister is always speaking about you." Henry said and Liam let out a laugh as he shook his head.

"All horrible I bet. I was not the best big brother."

"You were horrible. Now, this is Princess Mary, my stepdaughter." I said as I stood in front of Mary. Liam bowed his head before bending down so he was level with Mary.

"It is very nice to meet you, Princess Mary." He said and Mary curtsied lowly to him.

"Your Grace," She said and Henry grinned proudly before I took Edward into my arms.

"And now the most important person who I have wanted you to meet since I found out I was pregnant. This is Edward Jonathan Tudor. My son and the Prince of Wales." I stated and Liam stared down at Edward in my arms.

"May I?" He whispered and I nodded as I placed Edward gently in his arms. Edward let out a little whine but Liam quickly went to bounce him.

"Hello, tiny one. I am one of your Uncle. Forgive me for not coming sooner." Liam whispered and I wrapped my arms around Henry and allowed him to pull me into a hug.

"But that will change now. I will help your father raise you into a fine man. A fine king. I vow to you." He said before he turned towards me. I stepped forward and took Edward back and watched as Mama wrapped Liam into a hug and she began crying.

"Can I leave now?" Mary asked and I nodded as I adjusted her headdress.

"You may, first is lunch and then Lady Bryon arranged a play meeting with you and Lady Amelia of Rose alright?" I stated and Mary nodded as she bowed her head before walking out of the room with Lady Byron.

I turned back to my family and smiled softly at them.

"Are you happy he is home?" Henry asked and I nodded as I rocked Edward gently in my arms.

"Beyond happy. The last I saw of him was when the notice went off for the second son of Lords to go into battle." I explained and Henry nodded.

"He is home, he will not be going out for another battle until I say so," Henry stated as my mother finally let my brother go and my father brought him into a brief hug.

"My mother was so depressed when he left. He tried to send letters weekly but we went a month without hearing from him." I said before Edward let out a cry and everyone turned to us. I looked down at Edward and smiled softly.

"C'est Bon mon petit prince. Maman est là." (It is alright my little prince. Momma is right here.) I whispered as I lifted him up and placed his head on my chest.

"Why are you doing that?" Henry asked and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"When babies hear their mums heartbeats it soothes them. So I am doing this to calm him down." I explained as I paced softly with Edward.

"You are so wonderful with him little sister," Liam said and I grinned up at my brother.

"It comes naturally to me," I said before the doors opened and in stepped Charles Brandon. I felt myself blush when his eyes trailed over me before turning to Henry. He bowed to both of us before standing up.

"I am sorry for interrupting, Your Majesties." Charles began but Henry raised his hand.

"It is alright, Charles. What is wrong?"

"It is time for the privy council meeting." He said and Henry nodded as he bent down and kissed me softly before rubbing Edward's back.

"That is fine. I should be done in time for dinner. Lead the way, Charles." Henry said as he fixed his jacket and followed Charles out of the throne room and towards one of the council meetings.

"Does he always leave like that?" Liam asked as he stepped towards me.

"Only when Charles is here," I whispered and Liam raised an eyebrow at me.

"Why only when Charles is here?"

"Because before I became Henry's mistress and then Queen. I was going to be arranged to marry Charles." I explained as Mama walked over and took Edward out of my arms.

"Really? Papa you were arranging her with the Duke of Suffolk?"

"Yes, it was the Dowager Princess idea but then Henry called me into his office and proposed the idea. But Vicky had already asked to go home." Papa explained and I rolled my eyes.

"Enough, why don't I show you all the indoor garden I began. I miss seeing the flowers in the winter." I said and Mama bowed her head.

"Of course Vicky. Lead the way."
