Simon, a young recruit, guides one of his leaders atop a balcony to stargaze to clear their minds after a rather intense argument which took place minutes prior.
Simon: The young boy happily led his crowned leader to an intricate balcony. There was enough space to organize a miniature garden, if one desired. He sat a fair distance from the rocky railing, pulling his knees into his chest. There were several thoughts and questions buzzing throughout Simon's head, and he would not be surprised if Wayrren was not quite finished either.
However, the defender could not help but to feel that they needed this moment; Just a second of serenity to forget the chaos inside the castle.
Simon gazed up at the dusky sky, staring further and further into their light. Despite that he knew they were not the same stars he saw from his word, they were no less graceful as their radiant light welcomed them to the tranquil night.Wayrren: He followed the boy to the balcony, he thought the way he sat was rather reclusive but who was he to judge; he instead stood closer to the edge, he too looked off into the cosmos. "It could be a paradise, couldn't it?" He spoke more to the land than the skies.
Simon: The newsie had not even realized how distant he was from the railing until the magician approached. Perhaps, he subconsciously assumed the worst would happened after the recent events. Regardless, Simon pulled himself up to join Wayrren. "It is full of wonder already. I am sure, someday soon, it will be"
Wayrren: "Aye... Pardon my bluntness, why is it we're up here?"
Simon: "I am sorry, I suppose I should explain." He admitted as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "I just thought you could use a moment to take your mind off of the chaos lately, and-. . . maybe more was on your mind. If not, however, you are welcome to leave whenever you wish."
Wayrren: "No." Wayrren said rather quickly. "I think relaxing would do me wonders." He held himself for a beat and then another, after a decent moment of awkward — or so he felt —silence he spoke. He gritted his teeth before sighing: he found it impossible to simply relax. "An eon ago you said you wanted to help your world, is that right?"
Simon: The defender could not blame his crowned leader for his restlessness, and would certainly be lying if he said he was not grateful for Wayrren as he broke the silence. "Yes, back before Pablo even discovered what munny was." Simon smirked before pushing the joke aside. "But, you are correct. Why do you ask?"
Wayrren: "What's wrong with New York that it would need aide?"
Simon: He ran his fingers anxiously through his hair as he responded, "Initially, I thought my world had lacked magic. Now, I am beginning to wonder if we simply did not know how to tap into it. . ." The young boy glanced towards the treetops below he continued, "I wanted to share all of the marvels I had witnessed here, and help better their lives."
Wayrren: "Magic is a volatile matter; what if you return home and find you can't cast?" He had hoped not to deter the boy but was wondering if he had this thought.
Simon: "If my current theory is correct, then I simply need to connect to the magic of the word. If I am wrong-. . ." The color drained from his face as his shoulders arched back. "I suppose I should not force it, should I?"
Wayrren: It tugged on his archaic heart to see Simon in such a way. "I suppose not. However, I've never met a world that denied me my own trade. I'm sure it's just a matter of lighting a fire. Though, I must ask you, what kind is it that you plan on bringing back with you? Do you wish to heal with miracles?" Although he rose his hand no magic graced his gloved palm. "Maybe someone had wronged you?" A flame danced before he closed his fist. "Or is it something else?" Upon opening, he showed to Simon a coin of diamond. He didn't mean to sound so interrogating but he was genuinely curious.
