- chapter fifteen -
the case of the best mother,
a mischievous goddess and
a cocky god.

the foyer was quiet. it was quiet until I fell straight on my stomach groaning loudly. I got up, dusting myself off looking around seeing a moving line of women.

"please send loki more astrology books," a woman said as I watched behind a pillar that I was hidden behind. she looked like royalty, her blonde tresses were braided up into a crown with some of her hair still remaining down. her lips were painted a fuchsia and her gray monochrome gown fell effortlessly over her body.

she was obviously thor's mother. she had to be, the only time I saw her was when I was prying my way into thor's cloudy mind.

I stopped poking my head out from the piler, leaning back against it exhaling sharply. "what are you doing?" a women said next to my ear making me jump. "fuck- I
mean shit- I mean...you scared me," I say and frigga seems to analyze me. "you are from the future," she said and I shook my head. "no. . .i'm. . .the help," I say cringing.

"I was raised by witches girl,"she said in a stern voice and I opened my mouth to say something before closing my mouth. "okay maybe i'm from the future," I say my voice faltering. "you're thor's and loki's soul tie," she says and I raise a eyebrow.

"pardon me?"

"why did you come here?" she asked, skating over her last statement, delicately crossing her arms. I pursed my lips humming in deep thought before saying, "I..uh.."

she cut her eyes at me, scolding me in a motherly manner. "i'm here to..steal loki, well..kidnap him and take him to the present for me future for you," I explain and her gaze softens. "you are mischievous much like him, though you possess some qualities of thor," she said making my eyebrow quirk upwards.

I decided to disregard her statement before going on, "thor needs someone, someone that's family not me, stark, valkyrie or korg and miek. he lost his father, which quite frankly odin was a trash father, he lied to loki about his heritage and forced him to hate his own race then he raised thor to be some type of brute mindless warrior. both of your sons are so much more from what i've seen in thor's memories and thoughts."

frigga smiles fondly, wiping a lone tear. she grabbed both of my hands offering me a small smile. "loki is in his cell, lower levels, don't let anyone see you. guards are down there, you will need to get rid of them," she explains and I nod smiling happy that my plan was finally in motion.

"thank you so much. . .frigga," I say graciously squeezing her hand. "no thank you, I can tell you really care about thor, thor needs someone like you and he needs his brother. thank you so much for caring this much to risk your life for them to be together," she said bowing slightly making me grin. "now be on your way," she said quickly, rushing me off as if something was about to happen.

she quickly let go of my hands shooing me away and I turned on my heel, breaking out into a jog down the long corridor making a turn. the palace was gigantic and expensive looking. my heels made loud echoing clicks on the marble flooring as I found myself taking a set of stairs down. "hey, what are you doing down here?" a guard asked. he had a golden head piece and was extremely tall.

were all asgardians big and brute?

too late to ask that now because he was holding the tip of his sword against my neck. "I feel as though this was unnecessary, frigga sent me to retrieve. . .books from loki," I lie and pray that loki read books in his spare time in prison. he lowered the sword and I take the opportunity to roughly knee him in the groin. he drops his sword immediately, the metal echoing on the worn stone floor.
