"How do you like THIS Jacket? I snuck it from a Homeless drive, it was free so technically I'm not stealing..."
Jonathans gloved hands stuffed themselves down the slim pockets, twisting at the hip to exhibit the tattered bomber jacket that decorated his chest region as best he could, all for the bemusement of his friend observing from a few feet away. "C'mooon Dusk, be honest with me, does the damage add character?" The blank, smoothened, and pitch-black surface of Dusks mask glistened in the glow of a billboard the next building over, her expression obscured behind the neverending void that was her costume.
"Kyles..."
Jonathan's brow perked in a mixture of relief & concern, "Yeah?"
"You seriously dragged me out of my house to advise you on Jackets?"
Even when obscured by Negative Energy, one could almost etch out an unamused furrow of Chezkanovas brow wash over her face from the top-downwards, leaving the Half-Spider a little fearful of responding.
"Y-yeah...?"
"On a School Night-"
The Umbrakinite didn't even have to try that hard to make Kyles crack, watching the Spider-Hero toss his head back and stare up into the night sky, catching a brief glimpse of the only stars capable of burning brighter than the eternally glowing city of New York.
"YES! Okay, I just... I needed someone to do something with." almost frantic sobriety to his voice cutting through Dusk previous feelings of bemusement, "And nobody else was available, Eli & Kam have their curfews, the Defenders are out of town, Parkers too busy with Oscorp work, wh-who else can I talk to?". Jonathan retracted his previously extended hand, shoving it back into their jacket as they sit onto the cold concrete with a slump, "Besides, I just haven't been feeling all too okay since last week..."
A pang of guilt flew across Cheskanovas mind, inspiring her descent off of the Air-Vent they had been asked to be seated upon, "If it means anything then, the tatters do add character..." she answers, deft footfalls across the few foot distance before Dusk was standing before a seated Kyles, "...Provided you want to look like a homeless guy." A moment barely passes before a shared amusement is sparked between them both, stifled chuckles infesting the rooftop for only a few seconds before dissipating. "Finally, A joke huh? And I thought you were always the straight-gal of our little posse." Hands grasped the railing behind them, adhering them to it as Jonathan set himself back up onto his feet, face-to-face with their powered comrade, "I won't tell Kam you made a joke if you give me something positive about this jacket, then I'll let you go." figuring they could squeeze some worthwhile out of this so long as they apologize. Silence overtook the usually stoic Dusk once again, clearly taking her valuable sleep-time contemplating a random compliment. "It uh... It fits you well, right?" In truth, the Jacket was pretty uncomfortable, but Kyles didn't wish to take any more time out of Chez's night, so they accepted what was offered. "Thank you Dusk, maybe I'll let you borrow it someday if you like it that much."
"Nah, It suits you better than me." for a brief instant, Kyle could see the cheeks of the suit expand outwards, wavering before dying back down in a half-second. "Can I leave now?" Kyles nodded in answer, gesturing kindly & stepping aside, "Take care Chez..." eyes dancing off into the building next door as the Umbranite vanished into the shadows, leaving the Spider by his lonesome once more, and with a pile of jackets to his near left. "Ah, Shit... where the hell is all these going back home?"
