Breaking Walls Down

Chapter One

It was dusk in New York, there was a slight nip in the air. November had come with freezing cold and the hint of snow. This was not surprising to any the inhabitants that had lived in the city for more then a few years but hidden in the crowd was an (h/c) haired girl with (e/c) eyes shivering just slightly.

(Y/n) did not mind the cold but this kind of cold was enough to cause her to shiver. Zero chuckled at her but said nothing for he was also shivering. For the past five years they were down in Florida training and completing a mission to take down some big shot that decided to become corrupt and start ordering kills.

"How many years this time, Zero?" Zero shrugged walking slowly which made her slightly annoyed. He was always a slow walker but she always wanted to get there as soon as possible be there and get out that's all she wanted.

Zero pulled out his notebook where he kept his notes about missions since he always tends to forget stuff. "This one has no time limit this time. It must be one of those lifetime things that get most of our agents killed."

(Y/n) groaned, they always did this to them. Gave them the "lifetime" missions and it just turns out that the agents that went there were just dumbasses. "How many agents were killed?"

She was tempted to say incompetent agents but she watched her tongue. There were probably more agents around doing other stuff and they were allowed to kill other agents for power. Though she didn't care, (y/n) had full confidence in Zero and her's skills as ninjas but she wasn't in the mood to fight anybody either and have to deal with the men in blue. It was to much work.

"About ten, so it took five teams to have them call us in. Pitiful," he closes his notepad and stuffs it in his grey sweatshirt. She hummed in agreement lifting the hood of her (f/c) sweatshirt, trying to keep warm from the nipping wind. "So what do you think about this?"

Zero didn't look down at her and she didn't look up at him. "I think," (y/n) pauses for a second looking in the corner of her eye to see Zero's reaction. He breaks to look down at her, his eyebrow raised in curiousity. She smirks at the sight of him showing emotion. "I'm hungry."

Sorry it took so long. So happy late Halloween. If you curious as why it's snowing I just thought I might add that in there because it seriously snowed here on Halloween don't know if it was just us and some others but I know I was like seriously. Why state? Why? So yea that's my fun news. Hope you like it and sorry that it's short.
