In 1975, Pink Floyd released their 3rd most successful album called "Wish You were here". The theme on this album is about Syd Barrett leaving the band and diving into insanity, and the other theme is about the greed of record companies. The entire album has some of their hit singles, Such as Wish you were here, Shine on you crazy diamond, Have a cigar, and Welcome to the machine. The album cover features a business deal happening with 2 men while the man on the right is on fire.

But something really strange and quite unsettling happened during the makings of this album. While Pink Floyd was recording wish you were here, a bald fat man came into the recording studio where they were recording. Nobody there recognized him at first, Most people assumed it was someone who worked for the EMI record label. but soon a huge coincidence happened. David Gilmour finally recognized who he was and pointed him out. Everyone in the studio was shocked and horrified. The bald man was none other than.... Syd Barrett. His head was cleanly shaved, he was very plump, his eyebrows were shaved, and he looked nothing like the original Syd Barrett.

This was example of how bad Syd's mentality was. Some people reported that people were horrified and reduced to tears of how their former bandmate was nothing like he used to be. Syd stayed for a bit and talked, but witnesses say he wasn't really there mentally. Later the same year Syd Barrett was invited to David Gilmour's wedding and showed up. But he left without saying a goodbye, and this was the last tine the band saw him until he died in 2006.
