Coming back to the days when Planet Zero was still young, and the milky way galaxy was not even born, a highly intelligent species came into existence on his planet soon after the atmosphere had settled down. They completely bypassed the neanderthal stage that humans on earth went through, and evolved pretty quickly. They started walking on two feet as soon as they turned a year and a half, and created speech within a few years of their evolution. Within decades they had perfected technology that would allow them to communicate without speech. Thus began a race that would be the most intelligent one in all the galaxies in this universe. When they had developed sufficient technology, they tried to decipher how they had come to be. That was the only question they could never find the answer to, despite uncountable investigations into the matter.

This planet was millions of years older than earth. So, when the first dinosaur roamed the earth and when men and women finally started walking upright, they were already observing our world through their gigantic telescopes and outer space cameras.

One of the most fascinating structures on their planet was a seemingly endless bridge, constructed on top of the highest mountain. It had stairs that seemed to ascend into space. After a certain height, it flattened out and stretched ahead for miles. And it accorded a view of space light-years away. The bridge was made from a compound made from a naturally occurring metal on Planet Zero. It was brass coloured and completely indestructible. It was also a superconductor of energy waves.

The construction itself had been a behemoth task. Thousands of constructor androids had been detailed to make it. It took a team of ten architects, two metallurgy experts and a score of engineers to design and build it. It was the only thing on Planet Zero that had a touch of whimsy other than its technological value. IT was a marvel to behold and was the most superior design.

There was a tiny observation cubicle with a telescope at the very end.

It was quite by chance that they discovered earth via this telescopic satellite at the end of the bridge. Some hunch or sixth sense kept their eye trained on this blue-green planet, a promise of things to come, tidings of change. The epochs of the world came and went. Volcanoes erupted, landmasses moved around, breaking apart and colliding into each other, and miraculously, the earth was filled with seas and oceans, rivers and brooks and waterfalls. Not long after, the first sign of life shot forth.
