Hello friends! It's been ages.
So, I was inspired by simmerup (also a freshman in college) to do NaNoWriMo (aka National Novel Writing Month) because it's always been an atractive idea to me, but in highschool November was always volleyball playoffs and it was just too much. I'm not sure how much better it will be in college.... and this might be the biggest fail of my life. But I get a lot of motivation at 9 PM at night when my body finally wakes up for the day (I wish I was kidding).
I wasn't lying when I said I had a story in the works. I've already written about 7 chapters (over 30k words!!!) for it, so I will use NaNoWriMo to finish it! I haven't posted any of it yet because I would hate having to make you guys wait months just for another chapter. My goal is to have the book nearly completed before I even start posting.
For those who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a time period in which authors try to start and finish a 50,000-word novel from November 1 -November 30. I'm kind of cheating it by contining an existing novel, but oh well.
As you can see, my new story is called The Ugly Club. It is teen fiction/romance/awesomeness. But there is other elements to this story than just falling in love and blah blah. I really wanted to touch on some important social issues in this novel.
It's my most challenging to write yet, which means it will be the most fulfilling to finish!
I hope you guys haven't totally forgotten about me. I most certainly have not forgotten about you.
Hopefully in a month I'll have a story to publish for you. Until then, enjoy the prologue!
