"How could you?!", the young woman yelped with a heartbroken voice. Hot tears were streaming down her face as her shaking legs gave in and she collapsed on the pavement.
I watched her weak arms wrap around her fragile form as she sunk into herself whimpering. The cold rain poured down on her and despite this tragic view I felt no guilt, no remorse, not even a hint of pity.
There was a flicker of light as a car rushed by us. I didn't even flinch as the water was thrown at me by its rushing tires. The cold wet sunk into my black button-up shirt more and more causing hints of my slightly toned body.
"You left me no choice, Caroline.", I finally spoke in a monotone voice an still with minimal Mimic.
Then I turned slowly on my heel and started walking away down the pavement.
Her sobbing grew louder for just a moment before it died down and she simply wallowed in self pity.
"Cut!", a loud ringing voice echoed through the street.
I stopped walking and sighed lifting my right arm to brush my hair back. I made my way back to the woman and helped her off the ground gently.
"Thanks, Henry.", she smiled gently and straightened the soaking tight red dress she was wearing.
"Stop the rain already!", the voice rang once again. A small skinny woman in a grey turtle neck and a black coat with large black glasses stomped up to the man that was in charge of driving the car. "Cool it, Usain! Do you want it to look like they survived a tsunami?!", she yelled at him.
Despite him being way taller than her he seemed like a frightened puppy being scolded for doing something wrong.
"Yes, Ma'am.", he said quietly.
"Geez, Adrianne can get pretty crazy can't she?", I whispered to Morgan, whom was still clinging to my arm since it was hard for her to stand in heels whilst in a wet dress, as we watched the director yell.
"Yeah, she definitely can.", Morgan giggled.
A few scolding sessions later Adrianne came up to us pinching the bridge of her nose. "Okay, you two. You did great but we're going to have to repeat the whole scene one more time tomorrow- thanks to these incompetent schmucks.", she says sounding agitated and tired.
"Thanks, get some rest, Adrianne. You sound like you really need it.", Morgan smiled sweetly and spoke with a soft voice.
"Yes, thank you, dear. The same goes to you two! Henry, don't stay up all night stalking your phone! You need rest!", she said sternly like a mother speaking with her 10-year-old child.
"I'll try?", I replied in an unsure tone.
"Good enough! Now, go get dried off you punks.", she chuckled before going back to organize some other things. After we had both dried off and changed we left and went our separate ways. I didn't know where exactly Morgan was staying but I assumed she was staying in some high class hotel with a bunch of other celebrities. Why wasn't I hopping into the taxi as well to go hang out with a bunch of other celebrities like me? Because they're not like me.
I come from a family of celebrities. Singers, Ballett dancers, actors, heck- my grandfather was vice president of the U.S.A. for some time.
Still, for some reason we never clicked with others. We never made any real friends outside our family. It's like there's a wall between us and reality that none of us have ever been able to break. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way because my mother would always talk with me about this and she'd explain that it isn't my fault. I was a naive child and needed that reassurement.
Wait! Don't get me wrong though. I was always a social person. I smile all the time and never let anyone see me down even if feel myself literally crying no one seems to notice anything. It's scary at some times but i've gotten used to it almost to the point that it doesn't phase me anymore.
I make my way down the lit up streets of Hollywood. My black converse barely making noise as my heels roll of the pavement. I kept my gaze centered as I walked down the street towards the small apartment I rented for my stay here. Fumbling around looking for my keys, I noticed a figure further down the street. Of course, this wouldn't be unusual. Just some random man standing at the end of the pavement where the main road connected to the small street with a 90 degree angle. A car sped past behind him causing a short glimpse of a more defined version of the man. He appeared quite large, wearing a sort of hood and holding a device up to his face. Other than that he seemed to just stand there, unmoving, not even the hand holding the device was lowered.
I felt a cold shiver run down my spine and my hand ,that had froze at the sight of the man, finally grasped the key and I immediately lifted it out of my shoulder bag and slipped it inside the keyhole. Once it clicked I opened the door threw myself in and locked the door behind me.
Then I sunk to floor leaning against the door and let out a shaky sigh.
Why that freaked me out so much? I don't know. Maybe he was just talking to someone on the phone or he was just lost in thought.
But something about him made me freak. I couldn't explain it. Maybe because it was so dark or the cold weather might've been the reason for the shiver.
I sighed once more and slowly got on my feet again. I reached for the light switch and flipped it on. My illuminated apartment gave me slight reassurance again and I made my way to the living room groggily. Prepping myself on the couch and turning on the TV I noticed that my apartment was cold as well. So, I unfolded the blanket that was next to me and huddled inside it. Once I concentrated on the screen I noticed it was on a children's channel. I scoffed and switched to the news. Some lady was talking about the weather. She said it was supposed to get a lot warmer tomorrow. Then it switched to a news story about the Avengers fighting some dude that seemed to possess powers of weather manipulation.
The fight that seemed to be recorded by a by-passer because it was quite shaky and unstable but still looked quite epic.
Later I switched the channel to some cheesy romance and eventually drifted into a dreamless sleep.—————
